Jacquelope has a good point about the pain. Another point is about how reformation works. If the matter for reformation comes from nowhere, and just appears, then the pred will get very fat digesting them repeatedly. If the matter is magically pulled from where it is at the time, then Scarlet might starve to death with them inside of her.
I'm sure that there are other possibilities. If overthinking how it works ruins the fantasy, then handwaving it is fine.

The reformation happens from their souls and it materializes them with a new body -leaving the old body inside Scarlet.
