Given the random out of left field plot twist at the end of season 1, and then no season 2 announcement for a long time, with Stockin' being a demon in disguise, this could actually have been a plot point for most of season 2. Stockin has pieces of Panty stashed away in her belly and Brief has to hunt down Stockin' with Garterbelt and try to convince her to spit the pieces up or force her to so Panty can reform and fight Stockin'.
