Bartleby the badger is amazingly even tempered for his species, but if you push him too far you'll find that his insides aren't nearly as fuzzy and pleasant as his outsides.

The "asshole minor noble causing trouble" thing is not only historically accurate, but even appeared as a city encounter in the first edition AD&D dungeon master's guide. The asshole nobles were known as "rakes".

Boris is the sort of butler you want to have around. He puts the family's best interest at heart even if the occasional bad seed ends up getting weeded out.
