I made it back home safely from SizeCon, and wow—what a weekend! This was the first in-person event held on the West Coast following some, let’s say, unfortunate disagreements with hotel staff back in New Jersey. The change in location certainly invited some fresh faces, but it also made things a little pricier for me to attend. Still, Portland was a somewhat familiar city, and I was excited to be back.
I arrived Thursday evening at the Sheraton after a very tiring flight. Once I checked in, I took an edible to take the edge off and headed down to meet up with other attendees. One of the first people I met told me this was his first adults-only convention, and he was both nervous and guilty about not telling his girlfriend he was attending.
