There was a tall tower in the woods. It had always been there, or as long as the grandmas in the village remembered. From time to time, a hero or a knight would come through the village and strike out through the woods in a quest to destroy the tower. Riley wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel and grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge. “Hey mum, I’m heading to the mall with some mates.” He stretched out, making his muscles ripple underneath his deeply tanned skin. He’d foregone a shirt for his morning run, and it had left a sheen of sweat across his slim waist and well developed pectorals. Riley chugged his water bottle, crumpled it up, and tossed it into the recycling.
