The Indigestion Dance is less of a dance and more of a shuffle to try and get the contents of your belly to settle down and quit fighting their inevitable fate. Her stomach is looking a little soft, so it was probably one of those slime girl thingys from the castle levels. Guess it's time they get a taste of their own medicine.

The idea behind this one is that she sleeps halfway in water until something moves in front of her, then she quickly snatches them and gulps them down. I started trying to make a swamp mermaid or something (are those a thing?), but now I think it looks more like an earth spirit.

Soooo I recently got hooked on the Shantae series and its silky-smooth character designs, and got inspired to do a few of my own video-game character animations (which is why there isn't anyone being eaten- it's supposed to be filled in with another character)

OpenToonz is phenomenal. I highly suggest anyone who wants to animate to try it.

About ten frames in, I realized that I bit off way more than I could chew. I wanted to practice some motion tracking, but I think I still need to tackle some of the other basics first.
