Ch. 32 of my Xantos series.
Last time, Elyon sat out with Nna, Xantos and Yuna to rescue Nina's mother who is being taken to Usuwa. But our heroes are a week behind, and sneaking through hostile territory is far from easy, especially if you are a huge dragon. However, this fast become one of our friends' least problems when they enter a village to buy supplies.

I'm far more happy with this chapter than my previous ones and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing this. And one of the main reasons for why I am happy with this is because I had it planned for a long time and knew from the start what to write.

For those wondering about the geographical references mentioned here, you can find a map over my fictional world in this gallery: https://aryion.com/g4/view/813080

(The thumbnail picture is for the moment an AI generated picture of Nina. I will try to replace it with something on my own when I get time).

As always, I'm curious to know what you think about this story below.

This is easily one of your best so far. Fantastic work yet again. I have to say, your Xantos series has really inspired me to write some of my own High Fantasy stuff. Keep it up!

Wow, thanks : )
I'm glad to hear you like my work, and that you feel inspired to write your own stuff. More will definitively come soon, the continuation for this chapter is already in the writing!

So good. The attack on the village is horrifying and exciting at the same time.

I was horror inspired when I originally came up with this, and for the unfortunate victims in this story, it is indeed a living nightmare. Being eaten devoured alive in this world isn't that uncommon, but it rarely happens to this extent. And I wanted to show more common variants of dragons, as to show how different they are from Xantos (in some aspects).

Oh man, this one was great! I agree with Bobkiss88's sentiment, that it might be your best one yet!

The vore scenes with Xantos were excellent! The village being overrun was also fantasticly vivid and visceral from Elyon's perspective, all the way up to her 'distracting' that dragon.

I also really like the contrast of Elyon's reaction vs when switching to Xantos, who instead of horror seems mostly annoyed and moderately worried for Nina (since Elyon has the ring). That, along with his mercilessly devouring several villagers was a great reminder that while he is friends with Elyon & company, he certainly doesn't hold the same moral values they do. Dragon's gonna be dragons!

Anyway, stellar work, very curious to see what's next!

Thanks a lot :D
Having planned this chapter for about half a year, the story came turned out just as it should, though the length of it forced me to divide into two parts, concluding it in next chapter. Like you, I prefer to divide the point of view to flesh out the main characters' experiences, and I try to take notes of how you do it^^

Xantos is indeed a dragon who see things his own way, which often differs greatly from how humans sees it. But even so, he will try avoiding letting Elyon witness him directly eating anyone. Nina is more hardened to this world's disturbing realities than Elyon is, and Xantos knows that, and since he do harbor feelings for Elyon, he has to balance his dragon nature against his prospects of getting her to bed.

I love the mass dragon vore! Oddly enough, with all these dragons being so young, probably all being a result of the same mating season, it reminds me of the scene from the Van Helsing movie where Dracula's offspring attacked the town and snatched up every villager in sight.

I love a good mass vore, and I have been dying to come to this part of the story (I planned it during the autumn, but it took an unreasonable long time before I came around and wrote it).
