A lone logger in a magically protected forest finds out exactly why there are so many trees seemingly just waiting for someone like him to cut them down.

Note: I purposefully did things a little differently with point of view, dialogue (there is none), etc. to try to create a different emotional tone. I think it worked okay.

It's an interesting take on dryads, one I am quite pleased with. I hope to see more like this.

Oh, and hardware stores sell chainsaws, right?

Boy I can't wait to see when one of these dryads finally go after the poor working class schmuck's boss who sent 'em out there. :D Good story!

It had some rough spots in the first half before that interesting vore and transformation climax. But the second half compensated excellently.

This piece could be best summed with: it allowed the readers to fill in the details he/she wanted filled in.

A very good idea, masterfully written. There's an element of horror to it, yet it all comes across as peaceful. It's an unusual combination, but very effective.

The way she eats him reminds me a bit of a venus trap.

In any case, really enjoyable to read.
