For years I've seen people color on top of pencil work, and I never knew how they did it. Lo and behold, it's as simple as coloring in a Multiply layer on top of the pencils. This is a first attempt, so I am sure future work will be a bit more detailed. Wish I had known how to do this ten years ago, I'm still using the same art program I did then!

As long as you don't want to delve into 3D are or digital "anime" looking stuff, the old software works just fine. AFterall you can only remake the pencil and paper in so many different ways electronically.
Took me ballpark twenty years to begin to learn real grammar rules instead of finding the books on it gibberish. As long as you progressed in skill at the other aspects while your floundered around, it isn't a waste.
And nice first stab. No big errors jump out at me and i'm far from skilled enough to point out the small ones. This is where experience at drawing will carry someone like you through ^^

You can also colour on a normal layer, with the pencil layer being multiplied on top, if you prefer.

Your knowledge of Stregaverse minutia is impressive! A ship full of hestans fell through a wormhole and crashed on Greyhawk roughly a thousand years ago. Most of them survived, almost all the tech that came with them was lost due to a lack of maintenance, and so there are hestans on my Oerth who are no more advanced than the locals.
