Howdy folks!
Since a lot of you seem to really love my slime effects, I'm gonna show you how I draw them!
I wouldn't exactly call this a tutorial, I'm in no way an expert on drool, this is just my way of doing it. :) (BTW, this is made for Photoshop, but I'm pretty sure you can get the same results by playing around in GIMP/Sai/etc)
Step 1
First, acquire a mouth to add the saliva to. You can probably guess who's mouth I'm using for this. ;)
Step 2
Make a new layer and start drawing in the basic shape of your saliva! I usually start with a very vivid clashing color so I can see where I'm drawing, but after that I usually make sure it's solid white when I'm ready for the next step.
Step 3
Lower the opacity of your saliva layer. (I usually lower it to around 30%). Now, take the eraser tool and adjust it to these settings:
HARDNESS: 0%
OPACITY: 20 - 30%
FLOW: 20 - 30% (You can play around with the flow and opacity, but the hardness always stays at 0%)
Now you can start erasing from the center of the saliva pieces, while keeping the edges un-erased.
Step 4
This part's a little hard to see so I put little pointers to show where I did this part.
Change your eraser's Opacity to much a much higher percentage (like 70%), and start erasing the ends of some of your strands; it'll make them blend in a little more with whatever is wet with drool. ;)
Step 5
Final step! Make a new layer above your saliva layer, and add little flecks of solid white for the shines!
Hopefully my descriptions are clear enough, I'm more of a visual person than a verbal one. X3
Hope you enjoy!
