This is quite good, for a while i've wanted to learn the programs to do this, but i just never had the time so i settled for SFM, poor mans animation tools hehe, and it could never pull this off.

Maybe i should finally bite the bullet, cuz this is pretty nicely done.

the same size is the limit for a good animation, so, yes for an horse+horse, bigger prey and the result could be gross, for the still images the only limitations is the aesthetic taste
