That might not bode well for Kii, especially if she has any carrots on her person at the time.

As for the Miia bit, I just find her personality way too extreme, so it repels me from her. If she'd show her more caring side more frequently, like when Lala first appeared, then I'd feel differently. I don't outright hate her, I just like her the least out of the bunch. The only character I truly hate in the series is Lilith for her unbridled cruelty. Besides, I'm more of a Rachnera fan anyway.

Rachnea is definitely the most mature person in the group out of all the girls while she might mess with others for kicks, she keeps her own extremities in check and knows where to draw the line, stepping in when the rest of the girls are out of control. Not to mention out of the whole cast she goes the farthest when it comes to looking after not just Kurisu (aka Darling) but the other girls as well. Miia on the other hand is struggling with her own complexities due to stereotyping being pointed at snakes in general, from both humans and other monsters. Her attachment to him is due to her finally being with someone who ultimately accepted her as an individual which is apparently a problem amongst her fellow lamias as we saw in that chapter where her mother visited. (Not to mention the fact that she had to worry about competition from her own mother in addition to the other suitors kinda justifies some of her paranoia. Imagine what her childhood must've been like...)

Yeah, I'm well aware of that. But still, Miia can be too extreme for me to properly accept. I don't tolerate such levels of extremism well, both in fantasy and real life (as I've been a victim of such people in the past, though not sexually, obviously). I do know the nature behind it, but she still is a bit much for me. Like I said, I don't hate her, she just needs to mellow out her extremities more and show more of her tender side. Then she'd be easier to swallow. She's grown on my more, especially after her mother came into play, but she still needs more development before I can truly give her full credit.

But the beauty of MonMusu is the mixture of realism, racial conflicts, well-defined interactions, and, the cherry on top, kinkiness, makes it quite powerful, entertaining, yet touching. I can see how it ended up on the NY Times best seller list so frequently. It shows us how we should truly act in the face of racial differences and conflicts. Heh, who would've guessed a monster girl manga could do something that powerful?

Moving on, probably the biggest reason why I like Rachnera, other then what you mentioned, is what she said to Cerea after rescuing her and Kurusu from that gang. That really struck a chord with me. The level of realism yet honesty in her statement was very well-done and had a generous helping of feel to it. One simple statement spoke volumes beyond compare. She may be the kinkiest, but her intelligence and maturity are clearly the highest. She sees and understands things on a much higher level, which is something I like and appreciate. It's a character like that resonates extremely well with me.
