Oh, how nice of Yuumi, to stop in for a visit and help Momiji eat some of her treats! Not that Momiji really needs any help, but it's quite fun to sit back and have them fed to you, one by one... and Yuumi does enjoy watching the little morsels as they slip down, sometimes.
Of course, Momiji will likely let Yuumi take one or two home for herself, too. Her appetite may be big indeed, but she can spare a few, especially after a particularly good day's worth of gathering tinies in the city; ultimately, her intention is simply to help those unfortunate shrunken souls along towards being returned to their normal sizes, and eating them is both convenient and enjoyable! It doesn't matter much who does the eating, so it's just a nice gesture to let her friends enjoy a little bit here and there.

Wow, this is amazing! I love the playful smirk on Yuumi's face. What a scary sight the prey sees before sliding into down a hungry throat.

Thanks! Yes, Yuumi isn't exactly being a comforting sight there, is she. She likes to tease a bit. :P

what do you mean wiht help back to their size do they just reform somewhere back their normal size?

Yep! That's a part of how Paeratopa (the world Momiji and others live in) works, death is only temporary. And because anyone who reforms is restored to normal when they do, eating anyone who's tiny is a convenient way for someone like Momiji to "help out"! (and also a good excuse for her to eat as many people as she can find)

What a brilliant perspective. This is how I envision getting eaten. While in the pred's mouth being able to see the view outside one last time before getting swallowed.

I like these sorts of views too! Still able to see freedom so close, yet so far...

I'm willing prey though. I'm not bothered about freedom. I want to get eaten.

It's more the idea of it, regardless if that freedom is something you want or not. :D It's that last moment teetering on the edge.

So much saliva! I think I spent more time painting saliva than I did rendering the rest of the scene in its entirety. >.<

Well, it's not a problem if you love what you do, right?

A strange ritual, perhaps, but their frienship is symbiotic, which is nice.
Quite a fascinating view.

Indeed! In a way it's not unlike two friends playing around, trying to toss popcorn or M&Ms into each other's mouths. Except without the throwing (tiny prey might not appreciate that so much).

I always enjoy how there's a line on how much unappreciated activity a tiny person will get. Sure, they may not want to be eaten, but that's happening. Getting thrown? We're not JERKS, here!

I suppose I tend to take on a bit of a Paeran view on morality sometimes, haha. Tinies are food, so obviously food is there for eating. But they're also living creatures, so it'd be wrong to carelessly hurt them. ^^

Of course by human logic, those two statements would be contradictory, but it makes perfect sense to most Paerans! (I like that sort of "orange/blue morality" thing, it's fun to explore.)

Well, even "murder is wrong" breaks down in a world where people regenerate. Not completely, but it becomes much greyer in different circumstances.

It certainly becomes a more convoluted topic when viewed through such alien perspectives. Much in the same way that we might not consider it murder to step on an ant, especially not by accident.

Not to imply that the Paerans view humans as little more than ants; were they to see a human being attacked and stabbed, they would be as horrified as if that human was one of their own, and rush to their aid. To them it's simply a completely different thing from how humans are also food to them.

Ha, the Galactus arguement. "If your own life required you to step on an anthill, would you not do so without hesitation?"

Hm. It's strange to think of a Paeran in a physical confrontation. Many of them have magic, but I suppose it's not impossible for one to be assaulted...we don't know much of the non-natives' general personalities, do we?
Ah, I'm making you write a long comment chain...
