The crowd roared inside
the open air stadium, tiered seats completely surrounding a massive
white square on the floor with three ropes stretching around it. Each
and every chair was filled, not a single person willing to miss the
upcoming once in a lifetime event. The seats automagically resized
themselves as needed, a recent trick discovered by the Mage Guild
that enabled a higher room capacity by stretching physics a little.

The clock struck 9 AM on a
bright, sunny day and the doors to the arena opened to admit the
ocean of spectators lined up outside the venue. Some headed straight
for their seats, others to the rows of vendors hawking food and
souvenirs in the halls, and some to where the bookies had set up shop
for all manner of gambling. Mixed in with all of the above, the
attendants passed out programs for the day with the full listing of

ZEPHIE VS MUSKET
Lamba
was having trouble standing and they'd only just reached the second
match. She resolved to hold back at least a little when getting into
a particularly erotic fight. Luckily it looked like this next match
wouldn't have much in the way of titillation considering one fighter
was practically ancient and the other one was wearing a very modest

“Let’s keep things

“Alright then!” said
Lamba, forcing a smile in response to the seething anger of the
crowd. She could practically feel the tension simmering, but luckily
she had a sure way to dispel it. “I think you folks will like this
one. Match 5, Pip versus El Gato! Fighters, please enter the ring!
Quickly, before a riot breaks out."

MINDY VS HUNTER
The
mood of the crowd was somber with the loss of El Gato, their flags
and pennants wilted in their hands. Some were even crying, though
whether out of sorrow for her death or the devastation of their
fantasy teams no one knew.

sensed the low energy, but she wasn’t really sure what to do about
it besides moving on to the next match and building up the hype
again. “Okay people let’s get to the next fight!” she said,
drawing on her bubbly personality. “Match 6,

M7: ALEX VS ANGLER
Lamba chattered with uniformed
staff off to the side about something the audience couldn’t hear,
frequently making exaggerated motions with her hands. The staff
members shook their heads and Lamba sighed. She dismissed them with a
wave of her hand and returned to her place outside the ring. She
flicked on the microphone and tapped the head a bit to test the sound
before she raised it up.
“It’s time to move on to
the next match!” said Lamba, putting on a brittle smile.

M8:
SPADE VS AI
Lamba
scratched her head and sighed. After the previous fight the crowd was
getting restless. They'd enjoyed the actual devourment part but they
also wanted to see some epic clashes beforehand. Instead they'd
mostly watched a lamia masturbate. Which, while arousing, was not
quite in line with the hefty price they'd paid for these Tournament
tickets. Lamba glanced at her program. Luckily the next fight looked
like it'd get things rolling again. At least that's what she was

“Okay everyone, let’s all settle down now,” said Lamba, holding up her hand to quiet the chatter from the last match’s miraculous result. The barrier flashed and the ruined ring was restored to normal. Lamba wondered how the first Goddess Tournament had managed to contain combatant power considering Kaiser hadn’t been a goddess yet. There weren’t many records of the first Tournament other than the general basics about how it had been held in this same location a hundred years ago, before the construction of the arena. The barrier shimmered and the scorched arena was restored to pristine condition, just in time for the next two fighters to wreck it again. The crowd was still buzzing after the end of the previous fight, still uncertain what had transpired to bring down someone with that much raw power.
