A few possibilities. Her body absorbs Cozael's bones, so her bones are still intact. Cozael's bones merge with her bones, so they are fused. Cozael's bones replace her bones completely, so it's really Cozael's skeleton inside her flesh.

You don't actually have a skeleton inside you, but rather, it's the opposite: YOU are inside the skeleton. Soft, squishy brain inside a skull. Internal organs protected by a cage of ribs.
You're a brain and various other organs, piloting a bone mech that's wearing meat armor.
