Jesus, I hated the handler already due to her constant running off and getting you into danger because she has no damn self preservation but as if by some divine providence while I was writing this I did the deviljho quest and I found an all new level of hatred for this dumb bitch! She deserved to be eaten by that thing or better yet the player who has to put up with her Suicidal stupidity.
No wonder the community hates her with a passion.
Um... fun trivia or notes.... Ya I got nothing this time. It was a bit of a pain to write since I kept typing hnadler instead of handler. I also changed it to reference the evil pickle after her stupidity in that quest but that's about it.
Also, just because I like asking random possibly pointless questions. What is your weapon type of choice? For me it's the longsword or heavy bowgun

From what I've learned most people hate her or loathe her for constantly running off and getting into trouble or worse pulling you into it.

I've played MHW for a while and, yes, her "foody" mentality has her always wandering off eating nonstop.
And yes, the Deviljho incident had me RAGING because she's so damned stupid!! LET GO OF THE DEVILJHO AND RUN! DONT CLING- Aughh...

Oh ya, I wanted to just walk back to base and say I quit the mission, I forgot my weapon in my room. Just as an excuse to let her get killed by her stupidity . But that wasn't an option and I wasn't waiting to watch what happens if her stamina runs out.

A bit unfair to get mad at her for the deviljo quest. She was already out in the field when the deviljo was spotted so it isn't her fault. Ain't got any defense for the rest of it. Also she's only hated in the west, the east/japan (who monster hunter is made for as evidenced by the sheer number of unlocalized games) love her and thing she's adorably cute.

I absolutely can blame her for the pickle quest since all of Astera freaks out, you hold a council about how freaking dangerous it is and she knows you are going on the quest. She choses the ONE time, the only time she has to stay at base to go look for snacks. She sits at base the entire time other then this quest. She has no excuse in my eyes.
As for her being loved in japan, I did not know that. But that does explain her plethora of paid dlc outfits

I'm not gonna argue this because the deviljo quest is up for interpretation. Either she stupidly went ahead knowing there was danger, or she had not been informed of the danger yet since it was an emergency meeting. Now admittedly, she got attacked by a Jagras first so she was kinda screwed both ways, and thats worth blaming her for. I just think she was already in the field when they quarantined it and your hunter was supposed to inform her of it when they got there.

Not really up for interpretation. I did the quest recently and the trio of researchers outright exclaim that they completely forgot to tell the Handler (who wasn't at the meeting) about the location of the Deviljo, and push the player to find her quickly because they caused her to be in danger by failing to inform her of it.
After the mission, they tell her she was not at fault, as she wasn't ever informed of the danger.

even if she did go without knowing it was there. why did she go without the hunter? She knows how dangerous the area is. First day you and her meet she almost got killed there twice. Frankly the fact she isn't traumatized of the great forest is impressive.

Actually, she wasn't at the meeting. And the researchers outright start panicking because they had forgotten to tell her about the angry pickle's location being confirmed.
So it wasn't her fault at all, but the researchers.

First off, not reading the story because this is offensive to me.
Second, the handler is NOT a hunter so her riding the Diviljho was very impressive to me and her being brave and stabbing Jho to help me (remember this is the hunter’s first time fighting Jho with no experience) and i’m glad she was safe afterwards.
And for the people who keep saying she is “stupid” for going alone.
(Forgive me if i’m wrong it been a while since i did that quest)
She was getting mushrooms to make a special healing potion for hunters but she rushed to get them but the handler probably forget to tell you first which is why everyone was worried and you search her out.
We all make mistakes of rushing and forgetting stuff right? She never left your side after that moment. (I think?)
Besides a handler helps the hunter like cleaning your weapons, fixing you food, starting quests ON quests, probably doing paper work of all the monsters you are killing every day which is why she get “tired eyes” from being up all night helping you.
You ever thought of that? She’s not a fighter she’s a secretary for YOU.
Oh and she also lost her father in the New World and want to find him and want to be the best handler yada yada i’m sure you don’t care.
My point, handler is the best!

that is your choice and I am seeing that more people like her than I thought. I do not agree but that's their and your choice and I will not judge anyone for it. And Yes clinging to a rampaging dragon is impressive.
No, she knows the dangers of the quest she was at the meeting when they say no one except the hunter goes in and went to grab FOOD, not potion material she admits it post quest. And the moment you save her she runs like hell (I just did the quest not even a day ago)
If people like her good for them, and I fully get not wanting to read a story of a character they like or consider a waifu being horribly digested alive. I avoid Mash and Seras stuff like that for that very reason.

Best story ever, I hate the handler too and her being eaten by the huntress is the best scenario that could have happened !
