If the switch winds up living unreasonably longer than projected, expect a sudden surge of smash character like how mario kart 8 had a sudden surge in 48 new tracks because mario kart 9 was planned for the next console. I heard microsoft gave the blessing to nintendo if they ever decided on other microsoft characters.
