Everyone really seemed to enjoy Jaram, so I thought it'd be fun to do a little in character AMA in the comments. Feel free to join in over there (or here on Eka's, but try to be mindful of what has already been asked)!

What do you think about exotic food?
Living octopus for example!
All alive with sauce on'em.

What was the hardest part about the contest this year?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"I had to choke back laughter after that guy fell off his seat in round 3! I legit thought I might throw up and completely blow the competition, but I was able to keep it together! Definitely watch the replay though because you can almost see me lose it! xD"

How long can your stomach hold something before it actually gets on digesting?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Depends on a lot of factors. I basically don't digest like 90% of the stuff I eat. High fiber foods can literally take days to pass though, which is super uncomfortable after awhile so I avoid them."

What's your secret to success, Jaram Hong? Your audience is DYING to know!
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Easy answer! First, I was lucky enough to be born with a big stretchy stomach, and second, I am almost constantly training with it. I'm here to push the limits of this sport, so my secret is just wanting to be the undisputed best!"

Which part do you like better, the eating itself, or feeling full afterward? Any particular favorite foods?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"The part where they give me the prize! xD But for real, the eating is stressful as all hell in a competition like this, so definitely the fullness afterwards (truthfully I don't really feel that full rn though, lol). My favorite food changes like everyday, so today maybe... waffles?"

What's the biggest thing you've ever eaten?

Has competitive eating ever clashed with your day to day life and how do you deal with it?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Competitive eating is my day to day life, haha. Honestly though not really, I've been doing it so long I'm used to all the weirdness that comes along with it, like the random folks who congratulate me on my "pregnancy" when I'm walking around after a competition, lol."

You said in another reply you're not really feeling full. Are you gonna eat more today?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"I don't really need to, but... yeah probably, lol. There's a few restaurants here in Vegas I've been recommended, so maybe for dinner in a few hours I'll stop by one of those!"
Posted by IddlerItaler 2 years ago Report
Hahaha, way to dominate the competition! Your competitors will probably have to fast for days after this.
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Should I ask them if they want to join me for dinner? Lol! Maybe too mean! XD"
Posted by IddlerItaler 2 years ago Report
Loool, do it. What's the worst that can happen? Maybe they'll reply "Sorry, too full. We already ate the dust."
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"lol, naaaahh, I'll leave'm be, they're nice guys! Don't want to make anymore enemies than I have to."
Posted by IddlerItaler 2 years ago Report
You're right. Though you never know, maybe some of them WOULD enjoy seeing more of your skill live...

Lovely results, such a cute belly. What was your training regimen for this? Focusing on a mix of capacity and endurance?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"In the days leading up to a big competition I'll bloat my stomach by drinking tons of water to stretch it, then the day before I'll only stick to light foods and soups. When there isn't a competition in the immediate future I basically just stream all the time and eat whatever my chat tells me to."

How do you avoid dealing woth hiccups mid competition?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Hmm, never really thought about it. I don't get hiccups too often, and I don't think I've ever gotten them mid competition. Guess I'm just lucky!"

Have you ever heard about a fetish which is called "vore"?
Its about eating someone whole!
The fetish has two roles:prey and pred.
I think you would be a pred,right?
What do you think about it?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Some of my fans have told me about it, including you now, so yes. If the pred is the one that does the eating then I would definitely be the pred!"

Do you enjoy a nice massage after eating so much?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"I enjoy a nice message literally any time ever."
Posted by EnderFridge 2 years ago Report
Since becoming a competitive eater, has your enjoyment/opinion of eating changed, both in general and with specific foods? And are there any foods you find are easier/harder to consume in large amounts during a competition?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"Not really, I feel like my brain has two modes with food, there's the mode that just wants to scarf as much as possible, which I use for competitions, and there's the mode that likes to actually taste and enjoy my meals while I scarf. I don't have any foods that I find harder to eat en masse, some of my peers say that sweets like pie or ice cream are harder for them but I've never had that problem!"

Aside from training for the next competition, do you have any hobbies?
Posted by Starcrossing 2 years ago Report
"I'm not too bad at cooking these days! I didn't start learning how to do it properly until a few years ago. I also love to travel, it's very fun to explore new cities and cultures all over the world!"
Posted by ethersurfer 2 years ago Report
"you said you like the full feeling after a competition. Do you get off on it at all or is it just a pleasant feeling like a runner's high? And either way, do you ever just stretch your belly in your free time to get that feeling?"

If you're not done eating, what's the rest of your meal plan for the day look like?
Posted by Apostolos 2 years ago Report
Is there a dish you wouldn’t want to stuff yourself with?
And what would you love to gorge on the most?
