So judging by the lore the soul absorption isn't permanent, with souls being able to be let go. Am I understanding that correctly?

Correct, she can re-summon anyone whose soul she's absorbed into the amulet. They reappear wherever she wishes within her digestive tract. She can then let them out through her rear, or pull them back in to be reabsorbed.

At the moment I don't think that's something Vivienne can do, but perhaps there are more powers the Moongorge Jewel has available that she doesn't know about!

Ngl, I'm quite impressed by this response...
It's like, Vivienne actually exists, that you're not the creator of her but rather her friend where you keep in communication with her.
I feel as though the response you gave was something you reached out to ask Vivienne about and she responded with that she can't.

Potentially, I'm debating including some element of mind control in those she does release, but the souls themselves are just incorporeal wisps trapped within the jewel.

Hmm do you think she might have a soft side to her gluttony? That she might keep a lover in the jewel and bring them back to torment them etc? What’s the extent of her interactions with that soul and how much free will do they have? Are they “real” or just like a projection of who they where?

As I have things in my head right now, the souls aren't aware to any degree, just kind of suspended inside the jewel until Vivienne wills them back into a physical form. For all intents and purposes once reformed they are the same person they used to be.

Tentatively, yes! Not sure the stories will ever overlap, but at the moment I think Vivienne slots pretty cleanly into that world.

Huh...

Why do i feel as if that moon jewel (digestion, soul entrapment) is like... an evil Counterpart to the Star hairclip (Endo, focused on pleasure)...

And more importantly, who or what are creating these gluttonous artifacts? Will some dimentional event cause these two artifacts to meet up?

Is there a sun artifact to complete the set? (Moon gem, Star Hairclip, Sun something)
