A Party That Cheats Together, Digest Together By Personad -- Report

You can thank an anonymous commissioner for this gem. It is thanks to their everlasting patience that I could finish this. Its a little more than a year late to be honest.

This is my first time writing a story within the D&D setting. While a lot of fun, I had to do some research on the general rules of a game session to help flesh it out.

I also really enjoyed constructing the combat sequence as a turn based writing sequence.

I hope to do more like this again.

Also, thank you all for the feedback to a previous post.

I'd say more, but I'm glad you've finally finished this interesting adventurers versus game master gem. ;)

Thanks! I'm already thinking about another story set in this world.

If you have advice on spells or D&D knowledge to share, please do.

From personal experience (as a sucky/not smart-y DnD Player.) I'd suggest looking at the website "rpgbot.net" for gameplay suggestions on DnD and Pathfinder.

At least, as a rough rule of thumb. Before one googles "Game Breakers" of 5e into Tv Tropes (hint, Peace Domain Cleric's are "John Lennon" sue, in rigged resists.)

-

Personally, my experience/s is, if not built well; Bard's suck. Followed by Rogue's if you don't use their class features to their fullest.

And to a point, to enjoy the homebrew if done right. Or heck, even Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. But that's when you get to the vore excuse of "hey, I get to eat you". Or a surprise twist of say, "Roleplaying turns people into predators", by roleplaying warping 'awards'.

Above all else...

Swear by Rule 0, what the DM says, goes. And if the DM want's an adventure as but foreplay to their ravenous hunger, or appetite...

Thanks. You think "rpgbot.net" would help with writing better action sequences, like how using certain spells or attacks could work?

Also, while DM rules are their rules, its always fun to try and get them to break or mess with their rules.

More on the lens of "how to play spells/etc better?" In terms of narration, that can be a whole different kettle. Of which, I could suggest watching the film "Honour among thieves" within DnD, for an idea on how to translate D&D logic to an action film.

-

As for DM logic. I have some head canon's involving that, in vore. But let's just say that DM's (or GM's, depending on system) need their own fair share of love.

Thanks! Could you tell me what was your favorite part?

I loved the dice twist the most, it was unexpected but the pacing overall was excellent!

Coming up with a way to really expose them for cheating was the most difficult part. (Not including writer's block).

So knowing that you liked it feels great.

Yeah, it was a great read ^^

It's good but the logic around "This isn't an action against you" is highly flawed.

By that logic you could push someone over a cliff to "Get them far away from a threat" which could be yourself or your party. Of course the damage isn't immediate from the push so it doesn't count as an attack right? /sarcasm. A lot of players would walk away from the table. The threat of an action is never determined by the actor but the person being acted upon.

Sorry it just bugs me because I've had to educate people on why this is very wrong before. You can't frame your action in a different way to have it accepted by the pc or npc you're doing it to.

As an alternative could have used a silence spell to make the neko's yells from reaching a companion, or cast a sleep spell that would keep her from waking until damage was taken. Or it simply could have been a wisdom or stealth roll to go unnoticed.

Well, I didn't think I would catch the attention of a pro such as yourself.
Thanks for the feedback. I was mainly going by my limited knowledge as well as reading the few other stories on here.

I will keep this in mind for when I write the sequel.

Anymore advice? If you want, please dm me.
