I'm glad I didn't offend. I never know how people will respond.
But I'm glad to hear the, reviver seeds weren't going to become, common. As I said, I've found it disappointing when they become, common cheats to death. Never knowing whether a character was at risk or not was part of the thrill, though I was always glad when they made it. I've always found it a strange interpretation, for them to be used as a... resurrection. I suppose playing the games, they seemed something between smelling salts and a curative.
I suppose my pokeball comments were aimed mostly at the, knee-jerk reaction to seeing them, and, I seem to recall a sickening presence they gave off. But I suppose maybe I didn't grasp the intensity of stories around them, and them to be, easily recognisable.
I would still love to see more of it, some day, in whatever form you chose. Sad to hear writing is tough lately. I know the feeling.

Oh thank you! I really liked your analysis of the series, it mostly reflects what I personally thought when writing the stories.
I've been meaning to get back to writing, but I've been horribly tired with all sorts of things going on lately, haven't managed to get to drawing either. I actually started on writing more to the series a while back but I never finished the next chapter. Partly because I decided to reboot the series. There are quite a few parts I weren't happy with to begin with but didn't know how to improve, and some more I've started to dislike since then. Technically rewriting the first seven or eight chapters wouldn't take much effort at all, since they have little I deem to need changing, it's mostly the stuff after that which got out of hand.
As for the reviver seeds, yeah, I largely agree with your opinion. They either need to be rare enough to not overwhelm everything or not reliable enough to fully trust, I went with both. And in my setting they won't help with everything, just sudden injuries and poisonings and such. Age and progressive conditions are beyond what they'd help with, and even the "deaths" they do prevent can leave a mark.
As for pokeballs, well, the opinion wild pokemon have of them is based more on rumors and the fact that humans use the balls to capture them. And having your former friend come and beat you to pulp afterwards does kind of make one fear the tools behind the transformation. The main crew is special precisely because they are proof that the pokeballs don't inherently corrupt the pokemon they contain, just give the balls owner some level of power over the pokemon captured with them. And that power is limited, as the escaped pokemon prove.

I don't know if you still mean to write more of this story, or, if you even still frequent the site. But I decided I'd comment when I got to the end, and, here it ends.
You write really well, I like what you did with the world, the characters, it's a shame it didn't seem to get more attention. Characters I wanted to know more about, and care about, and worry for. A world with, real problems, and a vorish spin that made sense, rather than being all about packing in fetish content. It always felt that, beyond the setting, you had put thought into, the effects moves would have on the surroundings, issues of proximity. It felt natural. The person who pointed me this way called it, dark I think, but yet it was less dark than the more zany versions of the pokemon world, because despite the very real consequences and the terror of looming death, there was a simple inevitability that explained it all. With some exceptions, naturally, even the darker themes were, understandable. Not done for shock's sake. It's been one of the best things I've read on this site, and a rare event where something I'd call fanfiction felt both tasteful and fitting.
Had me worried when you brought in the reviver seeds, mind you, flashes of, worse stories sprung to memory when they were being introduced as a cure all for death. I'm glad, they weren't spread out to cheapen the consequences. Not sure I was into the, pokeballs inspire terror and steal your soul, approach. Ran, a little over the top to my eye, but each to their own interpretation.
I hope to see more of coneridge. Personally I've got my fingers crossed the two overwhelmingly mighty snakes hit it off, so much in common, age gaps be damned, heh.

True, it would have. But drawing the image already took me almost 15 hours, adding the inserter and the electric pole would have added at least two hours more to that.

Turrets have internal power and can be manually loaded, as this one must have been since there's a feed from the hopper. Besides, that belt is going away from the turret anyway, and the whole thing was left incomplete when the spitter showed up.
So while Mr Gun Turret does have a problem with Mr Bang, it isn't due to being out of ammo or power.

The last drawing made me think about a story relating to the image. Which made me think about drawing another image of the naga. Which led to more story ideas, then more drawing...

Here we have a draconian naga, attacking a small town as a part of a dragon lords army. While she isn't that interested in looting, the soldiers and other inhabitants of the town are something she'll happily take with her.
And while some in the dragon's army dislike the dragon's tendency of spewing flame everywhere, the draconian troops aren't bothered. While not all of them can breath fire themselves, they are all resistant or immune to heat.

Innocent civilians make for a great food supply for your army. They're always where you're attacking so no need for long supply chains, there's plenty of them and it's good motivation for the soldiers if their meals depend on taking over villages

Oh my. It seems that a whaling ship has suffered an accident of some kind, leaving a lot of whalers hanging on what they can. Luckily some local fauna is present to collect the unfortunate sailors. They'll be a lot better off with their new friends, right?

Drawn some time mid april. I forgot to write the date when I drew it.
Anyway, this is the floatzel Longfang after having had breakfast. He's likely reclining against the riverbank somewhere near Coneridge.
A reference image of sorts, the picture shows the citisenship rings on his fins, as well as the longer than normal fangs that give him his name, while also leading to an extra pair to be visible while he has his mouth closed.
