The air was hot~ Too hot. Filled with the scent of meals long since past all piled up onto one another. Denkou's belly was empty save for the little glowing orb he had swallowed down before her~ The large creature thrummed softly down to his meal as she was slopped into that tight space. The charcoal walls immediately greeting her in a tight embrace, squeezing in around her with near crushingly tight force~ The shadekin simply smiled to himself as the muffled cries of his mousy prey came in time...

Well...the expressions are good. One is very human, and the other is very animalistic, which is a nice contrast, especially for a predator/prey relationship. That's what jumps out at me specifically.

This is Denkou. He is roughly 30 feet long nose to tail, 15 feet standing on his hind legs. He is generally a friendly individual.

His kind do not give themselves a name. (and I haven't come up with one for everyone else to give them yet) His ears are as large as they are to better pick up all the details of the sounds of those around him. Their kind are pretty easily capable of recreating complex sounds almost exactly. The ears are capable of fanning or folding depending on mood...
