In the words of The Host. "I'm glad you asked!"
To answer your first question, well they did try at the start. However, even with their combined power, they were just swatted away like flies when things got serious. Showing the difference in the power between
the Shepherds and The Host's servants.
Also, when it comes down to it. Only one team was focused on dealing with The Host. The rest were distracted by team politics and surviving the tournament.
Sorry, I want a little of topic. Anyway to wrap up question 1. Let's try to focus on the fact that it's The Host that's trapping them there. So, in theory, if he's killed they'll be free.
As for question 2, I've answered that in chapter 6's description. But to summarise. I do in fact use a randomizer with whatever participant rules I have in place. So, if everyone could be in it. I would randomly choose which teams would fight. Then for each team which characters would be fighting.
Once the fighters are set. I would then judge who would win in the fight. Then base the fight around that.
So, yes some characters haven't fought yet but that's mostly because there haven't actually been many fights in all honesty.

Well it just goes to show that describing characters goes on the long list of things I need to improve for my stories.
Since, as much as they're things that fans will be exited at. The stories should allow people that aren't familiar to the character's to be interested in a vacuum.
So, it's down to me when writing the story. Not my readers to be forced to look at what the character's appearance is. (But, you do give an interesting point. So, for the Soul Eater story I'll add some visual aids in the descriptions if I remember)

Usually I do give more details to when pred's toy with their pray mid eating. But, I decided to change it up a bit and replace it with more loving dialog.
Althoughn the general consensus is that I did hold back a bit to much...but ah well, I'll keep it in mind for future reference.

Now for those of you that thought that the results are obvious. I just have to say that, at first I thought the same. However, as I got more into the research It dawned on me how close the match really was.
Constantly I was going back and forth between who would actually win between these teams. However, I think I made the right choice in the end.

So, this is my first stand alone Vore Story that I'm transferring and my personal favourite.
Edit- So, first of all I want to thank everyone that's read this story and favourited it. Even with this being released in under a day It's already surpassed what it had on DA and I'm truly grateful.
But, I do want to ask. Even-though this may sound greedy. I would appreciate it if someone had made an image to go along with this story. Although I can't pay or do a drawing...

As they said, Lux and Janna we're both fine. Incredibly uncomfortable. But they lived.
I've been thinking about making a sequel. Following the fates of Jinx, Lux and Janna. Since conveniently the Star Guardian skins had been announced soon after this came out. However, I already done a story featuring the Star Guardians so it would be kinda confusing.
But I still would like too, since I love these characters and seeing how they've reacted to this event would be interesting. Plus, you can never have to much Jinx vore.

They're all strong characters to be rooting for! And apparently people really like the dragon trio...I guess what they say is true. Dragons automatically make things cooler.

Probably the best character to compare The Host to is Koro Sensei, from Assassination classroom. He takes the roll of a villain in strides, knowing that he will be hated. However, he does have a purpose.
I mean, why was it so necessary for his competitors to not know they weren't safe? I mean, sure, they probably wouldn't have believe'd him anyway. But, it would at least take some of the hostility away from him and his staff.
P.S. Oh and also he's definitely an asshole. Even when he isn't forcing people to eat each other. I'm sure Lyla and Garnet will agree to that.
