Strega is an alien who resembles a large six legged wolverine or weasel. The original idea was "stretch a wolverine and add a middle set of legs to make it alien". There are a bunch of other differences from real world animals but you can get away with "Big six legged weasel thingie".

The short version is "alien space weasel". The original idea was to stretch a wolverine and add a middle set of legs, but the result ended up looking like a tiger sized ferret or weasel with two extra legs.
