A computer simulation seems to have taken a curious turn.

I really don't remember when I wrote this, but I decided to finish it up and post it. There were also notes for another story after this.

I don't follow Detroit: Become Human, but I believe that is what's called a "Deviant."

Seems pretty deviant to me.

Interesting! I kinda want to see what the two researchers from 5e opening paragraph do in response.

The notes do indeed include further action from the ladies running the sim.

Oooh, that was a fun read! ^_^
...I wonder what would happen if #8 were to find her way out of the simulation, and pay the researchers' world a visit~ XD

I do like that she still backed up his files anyway. Simulated consciousness or not, he was still her friend and still might have sentient value, at least as much as hers.

Gotta do right by the other simulations. I'm not terribly interested in writing a character who would permanently destroy a colleague without a second thought. Temporarily, on the other hand? Well, that's just good scientific rigor.

She actually has a tongue??

marloweny

Yep. Sort of like a game model. Anything externally visible gets rendered.

I had an idea or two, but I haven't had the motivation to put words to them.

Hamm. I know this is in the "One Shots" folder, but I don't suppose you've considered starting a "Two Shots" folder? :)
