In all honesty, I personally prefer when you draw preds with modest proportions, just like that.
Otherwise, the technic is great.

I need to watch one of your streams again bud-- im sitting here trying to puzzle out how you did the foliage. was it just a stamp or did you actually go in and manually paint out the structure? also youre using a texture mask, no?
oh did try out what you suggested with the thinner inking brushes. was... hm, interesting? still working on it though.

Otherwise I would have chosen multiple textured brushes and make a chunky painting... switching various textured brushes through the painting process give you a nice lively expression. + you should control the textures, where you want what kind.
