Okay, this has been boggling my mind for a long time now, I've just been unable to put it into words. Sorry to all my commissioners who are expecting artwork.
Some of you may have noticed I'm not putting out my usual frequency of artwork. Truth is, I haven't been really okay since the passing of my pet cockatiel, Alexia, this June. We did all we can, but she just passed so suddenly. She was only four years old.
I can't get another companion either due to family matters, and the prices for cockatiels - like a lot of things - have gone up significantly since the pandemic.
You can buy the bird but you can't buy the soul, the joy that she has brought to us. I learned that the hard way once when I took Alexia outside; but thankfully, fatefully she was...

@jyles Being honest, Shirley (as a character) is adorable. Though. I'm more impressed with all of the different variations of her that you came up with.
