Mrs.
Weathers’ Place

A
low, blue sedan cruised past the community’s gate, slowing for a
moment for the pass to scan. It proceeded through a tangle of
streets and drives all wrapped chaotically around the large and
irregular properties with houses that looked more like small
mansions, and then pulled into one of the driveways. Out stepped a
short brown-haired woman from the driver’s seat and a young couple
from the back. The husband, a tall man with tangled blond hair,

"M-Master?" a
soft shuddering voice whispered into the cool night air. There was no
response came to the call, only a muffled shifting in the night.
"Kael, I asked you
not to call me that." Came another voice, this one much less
shaky and far bolder in the midnight air.
"Sorry sir..."
Kael responded before letting out a startled meep as a small flame
flickered into view. The first thing that came into view for him was
his own fur, an ivory white that made even the

Coon turned the cardboard-bound book in his hands and flipped it open
from the back. Blank page. Blank page. Blank, blank, blank. The
majority of the pages were blank, even though he'd bought the journal
a year and a half ago. For the hundredth time, he thought about
tossing it into the fire and watching the pages curl away to ash, and
for the hundredth time he didn't.
There
was a fire though - blue and yellow gas flames flowing like water

“Good end” version

The raccoon stood a little over four and a half
feet tall, and to Myrtle that was just the right height. She stood

Vilkas stopped swimming
forward and started to slowly move back. He wasn’t exactly sure
what the creature in front of him was, but he had a few guesses at
what it could be.
First thought the came
to mind was just a giant snake from its body, but the head looked a
little off. Next thought was some kind of slender dragon. Of course a

This can't possibly work,
Heather thought. Stella had seemed so sure, though, so she smiled and
nodded when the squirrel asked his question.
"It's
stuck in your throat? Maybe I can reach in and get it! Then I can
have the cookie." He scurried up on all fours and looked
trustingly at her. "Open your mouth, open your mouth!"
With a
slight, theatrical cough she obliged. Hammy looked wonderingly into
her jaws as her long, long muzzle creaked open. Furt
