Leaning back and grinning wildly as I felt my board start to catch on the wave, I put one hand out and traced it along the growing wall of water beside me as I sped down its length. Nimbly guiding the long surfboard down the wave as it approached the shoreline, I eventually flipped up to the top and launched myself over, landing deep in the water past the wave.
