Marunomi rubbed her overstuffed belly in delight as she sensed Hinata slowly climb the stairs, just as her sensei had done before. As a non-native, Samui was not familiar with the layout of the Leaf village. Kurenai had informed her and Karui that the Hokage’s office was towards the center of the village and should be fairly easy to spot. Still, all the little twists and turns, especially when she was trying to stay hidden, proved a bit of a challenge for Samui.

It was the day of reckoning. That is, the day that Hinata and the others would return to the Leaf village and see what fate had in store for them. Perhaps nothing would happen. Kurenai stopped at a few shops to get everything she needed and, once she was done, set to work preparing the weapons they would need.
