I love the first panel where the doctors face ends up looking like this fat blob with how her folds are squishing her cheek together. xD Gave me a good laugh. Seek has always been really good at expressions though, so I guess it's no surprise.

As a clever touch there's an anatomy chart in the background when she first arrives at the exam room. We haven't heard the details yet of how it works.
While they're fictional creatures and the author gets to make up the details, in the one story I've done with lamias, I've imagined them to have a single primary tube running the most of length of their tails: a combined reproductive and digestive system.
The anatomy chart and the story so far seem to agree with this. Suri warns her husband that to be swallowed at the wrong time means it's a one way trip ("One squeeze and you're dinner!"); but to be swallowed now ("Now?") means there's at least a chance that he'll be reborn as a lamia in three years. Completely plausible that the difference has to do with ovulation timing or something like that. She preserves his memories ("I'll be a voice inside you") while she at least partially digests him, injects her egg, and then gestates. If anything goes wrong, he'll just be digested the rest of the way.
At least that's my take on it. I'll be eagerly waiting to see what really happens and how close I was to understanding how these lamia work.

I thought so. Although I prefer something like this or Acsmine’s works (eccept the person who was unbirthed can exit the womb that they’re in if both they and the person that they’re inside agree to it) happening over digestion. Both because it can make a character reusable and it can make for a more interesting culture where this sort of thing is done by significant others as a form of foreplay or intimacy in itself.

Going over the series again, I'm left musing over what was said here about it going wrong; 'end up as just a voice inside you'. To me this suggests a non-fatal absorption combined with a mental connection? I have odd preferences, this seems *incredibly* intimate.
While I know neither you nor this couple intend for things to go this way, my imagination wanders to a scenario involving another couple that has strong d/s dynamics, and that specific 'complication' as the goal. Especially if the naga and her assimilated human formed a deeper mental connection, where they could share thoughts and emotions directly. For a submissive that yearns for the intimacy of becoming one with their love, it seems like it would be heavenly. Especially if they developed an awareness localized in specific areas of their host, but that's a bit too much about my kink ;>

having real emotions in things make the romantic end of it far more engaging than simply the physical actions. The caring that the two have for one another,and the willingness to sacrifice simply to one way or the other become far closer to the one you love. Ooh. Well, I know I'm probably in the minority, but I hope this has a happy end for both of them. Seems like, based on the dialogue, this is something that happens somewhat often?

Anything I should know about anatomy or what you expect to see from this species? This is the first time I have ever seen a double ended Naga!
And I certainly do plan on writing it Wholesome, Intimate, and non-fatal, a knowledge of Anatomy will make describing things easier.
