A fishing trip has never been sexier and more thrilling than this! Ayla's peril and struggle to get out of the water was exciting, just as exciting as just looking at her. The comic is beautifully drawn and Ayla is a woman who is quiet an eye-candy to behold.

I forgot about this 3D test and wanted to post it. It's a bit stiff but it was never intended as a public release. This was essentially an experiment in using a cloth simulator effect to make the flesh move more realistically. It was hell on my computer and took a while to get the settings decent. There are probably easier ways to do it.

One of the trickiest parts of the game animation so far has been making the impacts feel weighty enough, and it was the same story here.

I'm the only artist making stuff for the game itself. :) The team for the game is myself, the coder, and (when we're ready for her) the voice actress for Ayla.
The comics are something being made on the side as a bonus while people wait for the game to come out. But in terms of logistics it's actually very common to have many different artists working on a game project, and you're correct in your guess that they'd be assigned different parts. It works fine so long as an art director on the project keeps the styles reigned in enough that everything feels like it belongs in the same universe.

Please don't take this as a criticism; it's just a question (because I'm curious). I noticed that each of the Jungle Dangers comics was drawn by a different artist, and with a unique style. How can several artists with their own distinct styles do the art together on one game? Is the work split up such that one artist does backgrounds, one does creatures, one does Alya, etc.? I know nothing about the logistics of making something like this happen, so I'm interested.

Red Riding Hood won't be getting away at this end of this version! The "After Dark Fairy Tales" series concept had mixed reception in the pre-vis stages so whether or not we keep going with this series idea will depend on the response to this issue.

Thanks! Weight is one of the main things I try to get right. Trying to feel where the center of gravity is and what's happening as it moves might be the biggest single element in creating convincing motion.
I did start the animation off with her getting jerked straight back into the toad's mouth but yeah, it felt floaty and light. If she's 110-120lbs (I don't dare ask her, obviously) I want to *feel* that in the motion.

I really have to compliment you on just how [i]weighty[/i] you got the animation. I can't state this enough. Most of the time somebody gets snapped up with a tongue it feels light and airy, as if they're just a fly. But here, you can see and feel the weight of the girl being grabbed. Ayla's animations for the game fall into two main categories; player controls & enemy interactions. I want both to feel energetic and clean but with player controls it's also important to consider playability. Ayla need to be able to snap into a jump from any point in her idle, or quickly break into a run, etc. An easy way to do that is to forego animating transitions between different states, which risks sacrificing smoothness and could make some changes feel jarring or abrupt. Ayla ended up on Skull Island for the day, and didn't fare so well! I've gotten started with the illustrations for the Cretaceous Seas kickstarter rewards, and it wasn't intentional to start with two scenes on Skull island but that's how it worked out. The final illustrations are going to be collected up into an artbook after the game is released.
A bonus of doing these illustrations is getting even more ideas for the game. I absolutely want carnictis worms worked into the game! :)...

Chrome OS, actually. It does have a Linux VM running on it, though. So, arguably, yes. Linux. XD One might argue that the Windows version could just be run under WINE, but WINE can be really sketchy sometimes, especially when software uses frameworks like .NET or DirectX.

My understand is that porting over to consoles can be challenging. I'll probably need some help making that happen, and certainly more time. I don't plan to put it in a mobile format because I think the screen would just be too damn small. All of the artwork and animations are also going to be available to patrons and whatnot.

I haven't played that game so I'm not entirely sure it'll be the same but it's probably a similar concept. Once Ayla encounters an erotic scene or a vore ending, the animation for it will be unlocked in the gallery at the start scene. So you will kind of be able to collect them.

Pond life was an enjoyable comic and in this one is the Sorceress is instantly recognizable.
However, my personal favorite style was Oola's last dance, especially when regarding the curves and colors and the black lines which outline the details. But I can understand if you prefer a more cartoony style if you find that realistic style time is consuming (as I do).

You're right in suspecting it would essentially require starting from scratch. I have no immediate plans to go back into 3d work anyhow, so although it isn't impossible it's not something I see myself doing.
In the Cretaceous Seas game, the snake vore attack animation I'm currently working on is largely based on the positions and movements from Coils and I do plan to have a nude player option. It's all going to be on screen in game, and only from one angle, but something I am considering is doing a cinematic version of each ending which would be more like my old 3d stuff but all hand drawn.

I love process stuff like that, especially for classic movies and animations. In the artwork bundle, at the $100 reward tier, there is going to be a collection of artwork which will span the concept pieces all the way through to the custom illustrations and game screen shots. And a narrative on the whole process nobody is going to read. :-P

The main idle animation is one of the key parts of Ayla's motions I'm going to need. Today I launched down that path and got it started. Nice strong pose, decently interesting overall, boobs, all the right parts to begin... and then a splash of motion!

I was hoping to be really bold and shoot straight from the super rough draft up to finished lines, but that (unsurprisingly) didn't work so great lol. Most of these frames here are fairly cleaned up but still need a polishing pass to really make them shine....

I'm still working to clean up the frames for the snake attack animation. If animation is one fault it's that it is slow.
The first few seconds of the snake is inked, but clean-up on Ayla is mostly slated for tomorrow. This animation is going to be the finished work actually going into the game, not a draft or rough.
I'll post another update with the line animation asap.
