The story z3d and I wrote to accompany this sequence kept Peridot short. If memory serves me right, she grew a few inches, but that’s it? The main reason was to reinforce Peridot’s shortstack energy, tho the in-universe justification is that this isn’t a traditional fusion. Peril and NCP have BECOME one with Peridot, not fused with her as partners. As such, Peridor retaining much of her original looks, but curvier, reinforces that.

That said, with the power of two Peridots under her control, especially strong ones, Peridot is much more dense. She can grow larger to reflect this, but doesn’t for convenience. If I had to guesstimate Peridot’s true size without z3d’s direct agreement, I’d say Peridot is 18 feet tall? Enough that she can stroll down Beach City Boardwalk and overlook buildings, but isn’t crushing them underfoot by accident either. Garnet and Jasper stand to Peridot’s huge hips.

Establish that cheating has been a problem in their relationship before, where these kinky kids love each other, but can’t keep their hands off sexy gals? Two wrongs don’t make a right, but them agreeing to an open marriage could work better for them as characters, not just as plot convenience for myself.

Haha, the thought has crossed my mind! Showing this controversy from Steven’s point-of-view and perhaps romancing a Gem like Lapis or Spinel? It might feel too self-indulgent to make a whole new OC just for that purpose, but I’ve also played with the idea of an Emerald falling for Mr. Universe. While she wasn’t exactly the best person in Era 2, this Emerald wants to be better and thanks Steven personally. One thing leads to another and before long he’s got a new girlfriend!

Tho to be clear, I don’t particularly fault Connie either. It’d be pretty hypocritical of me to write a cuckhold kink story, then fault the character for said decision. I made Connie cheat, I had her be eaten by Matte, that’s solely on me. Who am I to cast judgment?

As such, after Steven has hooked up with someone else, Connie’s fate comes to light. Both agree that, while not the cleanest way to resolve things, life led them down different paths. They either break up or agree to an open, distant marriage with a preference for their new partners.

Let's call it what it is: Connie was already primed to cheat on Steven. As much as he's done for her and the planet? He deserves someone who's not anywhere near as weak willed as Connie. But the question is: Who? I keep thinking that with your style of writing, you could easily make a story/scenario where a proper mate for Steven is debated/decided in some way. I'd actually love to see how you'd do that in your style.

Oh, namely that Darcy managed to activate their Calamity powers during their fight with Sasha and Grime. With the power boost, they devour Sasha and Anne. The follow-up images would have the girls power-up too and struggle to escape Darcy's gut, to no avail. The last part has Darcy reach godhood with the power of every Calamity Gem, thicker than ever, while the girls live inside their curves as sentient fat: Anne is reduced to Darcy's boobs, Sasha the ass, and Marcy the potbelly.

Yup! To make a long story short, Nol has a disembodied heart like all pure-blooded Creatures of Leng. This heart hosts their life force and soul. So long as the heart is safe, Nol can’t die. Even being digested by Barbara is just a setback; she’ll come around and revive their body with some ritual, allowing Nol to interact with the world again.

But for now? They make a terrific meal for Barbara. What a thoughtful sibling!

Well, after reading it, I had a whole brain rot idea about Matte and Sparkles going on a sort of "competing date" scenario within the Gemspace Connie's living in now, taking Connie on romantic trips, fun-having scenarios and such whilst the other watches on, teasing them all the while until they can't take it anymore and snatch connie away for their own "us-time" - Ballroom dancing, ice-skating, Gem versions of the "tunnel of Love", memories of exotic places Sparkles and Matte have seen that sort of thing.

This continues right up till the part they both decide the foreplay is over and take Connie to bed together. Since they constantly bring up the fact that they're technically "cheating" on the other with her, and Connie's situation means they can't exactly take her to a wedding chapel (much as both of them Squee at the idea), they instead slip both their wedding rings on Connie's fingers to make her "part of the marriage" before expressing their love for each other through Connie as a medium, treating her as the squishy human sandwich filler between them.

So yes, I'd say you succeeded in selling the romantic attraction.

Cerulea is exactly that kinda conniving. XD the first draft actually had Sparkles make a fake crash site, where “Connie’s ship suffered a catastrophic error and was ravaged upon impacting the planet. Her death was instantaneous.” Cerulea was off-planet to wash her hands of the affair, in the event her employees were caught.

Buuuut that felt too sneaky. Didn’t wanna make Matte & Sparkles lose sympathy in the moment. So if there’s ever a sequel that addresses the fact that, yeah, Steven misses his wife? That’ll be handled with a touch more delicately. XD

That was a concern of mine, admittedly. Even when my stories hit the 30, 40, 60 page mark, I usually sprinkle vore across the story or feature it heavily in the second half. The vore in this story gets a lot less focus. On the other hand, the buildup was more the POINT of the story than its conclusion; the romance may not be as well-developed as, say, a romance novel. But the attraction had to feel REAL. You know?

I can only hope I accomplished that. ^_^

Oh yes, that was an especially critical focus for us. Ruler101's Barbara is a sweetheart of a character, really a warm marshmallow, so juxtaposing her with the more slimy, selfish Nol creates a lotta friction. They're not really a duo that sees eye-to-eye on a lotta things. However, it's crucial that for as much as these siblings fight, that they do genuinely care for each other. That Nol pushes Barbara's boundaries, encourages her to be more assertive, while Barbara brings out the best in Nol. Makes this Creature, a Nightmare that's content to just feed off human suffering, to want to be a better person regardless.

Ideally, one day, Ruler101 will be able to write & develop a complete story about the Sivan Siblings. They're definitely some of the most nuanced characters we've jointly created together. And for as much as this story revels in vore and debauchery, it really helped Ruler101 and I develop the siblings. Understand when Nol is acting too outta line, when Barbara needs to be more proactive, and so on.

Star Sapphire was one of the oldest Gems around, and as an assassin, she’s had millennia to devour, Assimilate, and claim their power for her own. She’s not Diamond-levels of strong, but close enough.

So if Connie continued that proud tradition and nobody convinced her to stop? She could become strong as or stronger than her husband. Imagine it: Connie, the second Gem/human hybrid around, and strongest warrior in the galaxy.

Funny you should mention it, but I’m not one much for giantess vore myself. After a certain threshold, the sheer scale of the pred throws me off; it takes extra effort by the artist to push past that hill. Glad to hear that my story managed that!

If you like, there are 2–3 more Belinda short stories on this account. She’s been my most well-received OC, so I put extra effort into writing about her and getting her art when I can :)

I need to say that I’m not into giantess vore, usually I prefer same size vore, because of the huge bulges and weight gain. However, this was an absolute exception. You are right about developing tension first, it contributes a lot to the revelation of the pred, making the moment a lot more memorable that introducing her firsthand in the story. The worldbuilding is a great plus, giving the preys some identity and history to the desert. It is a good way to make the reader immersed in this world. The combination of horror recourses with comedy for a vore tale is simply a great idea (with the enough quantity of sultry content of course): I am reading a vore fic, I want to enjoy the humor putted in it too! A personal preference I have with vore things, is that prey have actual survival instincts, of course they will be terrified to become fat in a huge gut. The concept of a giant monster hunting some poor traders surely indulge my taste. I think the reason I don’t usually enjoy giantess vore is because it does not feel so…real?(I think I don’t get to immersed with the concept of a giant woman eating people so naturally), and often there is no weight gain with it(people don’t add too much fat to a giant). But reading that the titanic lizard girl went extra thicc through the centuries works for me.(The explosion part amused me, I don’t why, I’m neither into inflation, but I found it kinda hot, like, a fruitless effort to kill a monster, but for her was some bad stomach ache and some cooked meat).
This is the first time I have read a fic from you, so I don’t know Belinda’s character at all. Looks like a goofy character and I like that. Hope that you upload more stories about her in the future. (Sorry for any grammatical mistake I have done, English is not my first language)

Eeeh, I personally believe in the strength of the human spirit and ingenuity too, buuut that's not really the tone that this AU pursues? If anything, the greater focus is on the Gem Republic, characters in the criminal underworld like Peril & Star Sapphire, and so forth. In fact, I've avoided having OCs in this AU interact with Steven Universe's main cast as much as possible because that thematic conflict means either the AU folds in half, or I've gotta go against the show's central message.

There ARE exceptions, such as Peril interacting with Peridot and this story/artwork right here, but ideally that's a line that won't be crossed much.

I say this as someone who plays X-Com faithfully: The worst thing you can do is underestimate humanity and the human spirit. If you give us enough time and resources, we can pull off some logic defying stuff.

Despite Cerulea's opinion, I believe Steven actually represents just what humanity is capable of. If anything, his humanity is his most powerful weapon in his arsenal. Though I do understand Cerulea's mentality.

Good question. On one hand, Cerulea probably doesn't understand the distinction between Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz, even if she knows Steven is his own person. She views Pink as a traitor to Homeworld for starting the rebellion and doesn't think too highly of Steven by association. On the other hand, Cerulea grew from a very conservative standpoint as White Diamond's personal Sapphire to a (comparatively) progressive stance as the Empire grew increasingly hostile and WD grew more distant. In fact, she welcomes Era 3 and believes Steven is doing good, honest work. She'd see the benefit of making him an ally and befriending the Crystal Gems, even if Cerulea can't bring herself to befriend Steven.

At best, Cerulea sees Steven as useful and the founder of the Gem Republic. She bears him no ill will like Aquamarine or Peril the Green Bolt, but she doesn't particularly like him.

As for Steven's choice of partners, yes, Cerulea wouldn't understand why Steven loves Connie. Even if she understands that Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet wouldn't make good lovers as mother figures, Cerulea would be baffled that Steven is courting Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, Bismuth... good, noble Gems. Gems who are vastly stronger, faster, and superior to a human in every way. Because as much as Cerulea has grown and views all Gems as equals, she can't fully accept the same for organics. It's... good manners not to expand the Gem Empire and annihilate every other sentient race, but it's not a moral imperative.

Ultimately, Cerulea wants the best for Gemkind. If not being in a state of eternal war with every other alien in the universe enriches Gemkind, Cerulea supports it. But whether its humanity or other aliens in the "Out of this Universe" AU, Cerulea can't say she cares about them. Humans are novel creatures, but more like lovable puppies or playful monkeys. Until they can actually lead interstellar armies across space and threaten Gemkind, Cerulea sees little point in building diplomatic relationships. Hell, she'd straight-up eat the people of Beach City as a snack!

That's about where Cerulea stands as a character.

Was wondering what you meant by "Quasi-son" until I remembered how Steven has pretty much a planet full of surrogate mothers. XD

This actually makes me wonder: Considering the position of power Steven is in, I wonder if Cerulea would see the benefit of having him close at hand or just as someone she associates or becomes close to. I feel like she's the type of Gem who wouldn't really understand why Steven is in love with a human(Connie) when he has a planet full of Gems that would be more suitable in her eyes.
