was not the first time the three bears returned from their morning
walk to find their cottage in a shambles. It wasn't even the first
time this month, and Papa nodded sagely as he saw the empty or
overturned porridge bowls and other signs of an uninvited visitor.
The three bears had seen this before and they knew what to do.
Each
cat-footed his or her way into a different part of the house,
sniffing and peering around corners to see if their intruder was
