There are so many different incarnations of this fetish, it really seems like a thousand different fetishes all under the same umbrella. I'm always going to be writing these stories for myself first. Some people's version of the fetish will overlap entirely with mine. Some will require elements that are wholly incompatible. And some are in between, with enough overlap to see the appeal, but without hitting all of their buttons.

It sounds like you and I specifically overlap in the "prey being squeezed into a tight place" and "prey giving up everything" aspects. Unfortunately, domination by the pred is unlikely to come up in my stories. I like for the prey to be indifferent at worst. With a dominating pred, I'd have to spend time establishing that the prey isn't being forced. That's narrative baggage I'd rather avoid.

I'm glad my stories have seemingly worked for you so far without that element, though.

On the note of being a prey myself what I find appealing is, it feels like watching domination or being dominated in a way. There's also the idea of giving all of myself or watching a prey give all of themselves to satisfy a preds dark desires and becoming one with them really gets me chasing butterflies. Plus there's the aspect of being surrounded in a a warm gushy place (with a feeling of closeness) and ravaged by someone's insides before becoming a part of them forever is SUPER HOT! Hope that helps you understand what a prey is thinking and I hope you can youse this to improve your stories!

Interesting. I feel like self-inserting isn’t always necessary in these scenarios; preds seem to like vore heavily focused on the prey and vice-versa, for the same reason straight girls like gay porn and straight guys like lesbian porn. It's not necessarily about imagining the sexy thing happening to you, it's more about seeing the sexy person be involved in sexy happenings. But I'll admit, as a pred, it's possible I don't fully "get" what makes a scenario appealing to a prey. I just assumed all that art of "pred with big belly and no context for who or what is inside" has to be for SOMEBODY, since it does nothing whatsoever for me.

Don't take this as me disagreeing with you about your own preferences, though! I'm glad the scenario worked for you even before the pred got a moment to show off.

So, a little behind-the-scenes knowledge here: an earlier draft of the script for this one included a line clarifying that Yasmine is straight. It was intended to sort of amplify the message that this act doesn't mean anything to the pred: not only will she not remember it happening, but it wouldn't be the sort of thing she would have sought out in the first place if she were awake. I wound up cutting it just because it sort of emphasized the fact that Yasmine is technically a non-consenting participant in a sexual situation here. Which, granted, is still the case, but it's not something I wanted to be a focal point of the narrative.

Since the line didn't make it into the final comic, readers are welcome to assign any sexuality they'd like to Yasmine. I'll just say that, since Presley specified monogamy with Imogen, Yasmine and Presley presumably didn't have a preexisting relationship with each other.

Another possible interpretation:

Presley was too flustered (and muddled by post-coital haze) to figure out how she wanted to respond to Imogen's teasing beyond her immediate "thanks, jerk" reaction. Presley ultimately decided that she wanted to pursue affirmations of their mutual attraction (by returning Imogen's compliment about her voice with her own compliment about Imogen's eyes), but by then, Imogen was already kissing her.

Presley cut the kiss short before it developed into another makeout session. This confused Imogen, who thought she was getting makeouts but instead got a compliment coming later than what would have made sense in the prior conversation.

It's not until the next page that Presley not only makes it clear why the compliment came when it did, but also packages that explanation with a straightforward statement about her own attraction to Imogen.

Basically, Imogen was trying to play it cool by teasing but it wound up being kinda awkward in a way that confused Presley. Presley took a second to process it, and that also wound up being kinda awkward in a way that confused Imogen. Fortunately, they both figured it out before they went full disaster lesbian.

That's just another interpretation, though. I agree your reading of the scenario is very cute!

I think the answer to this (at least in the case of this story) is pretty straightforward. It's already pretty clear that these folks are pretty different from humans in our world. Not only can they stretch in ways we can't to devour their lovers whole, they treat such acts with casual dismissal, or at least as casual as we dismiss sex. Since vore, in this instance, is clearly a sexual act, it makes sense that the brain would release pleasure signals the same way it does for regular sex. To them, pleasure from vore is probably baked directly into their biology.

My interpretation was more along the lines of "We said we were drawing this line because of intimacy reasons, but now we both want to cross it. Is that because we want intimacy from each other or just because there are fun times to be had on the other side of the line?"

Basically, they were already good friends who love each other. There is an important difference between "love each other" and "IN love WITH each other," but that difference has nearly been erased by the discovery that they're both extremely sexually compatible. Now they're struggling to define where they stand.

I think the rib problem only happened because Fiona started bending so high up, before she got all the way in. If the ribs are elastic and in tension, they're being pulled towards their anchor points on the spine. The more that the front of the rib cage rotates up and out, the more that force is going to be crushing the top and bottom ribs together and folding the sternum, which is probably unpleasant. If they rotated far enough, there would be a tipping point where it would be easier for the bottom ribs to resolve that tension by pulling in OVER the top ribs, essentially flipping the front of the ribcage inside-out. Fiona didn't go that far, but she did go far enough to cause Emma pain.

Now that Fiona's all the way inside, she's less constrained by the ribs and more by the walls of the stomach/abdomen. That part appears to be softer and more flexible.

But I figure, if they're stretchy, then if you press the bottoms of them up and out, then they'd probably reach a tipping point where it's easier for the bottom ribs to twist back over the upper ribs and that'd probably not be fun.

Yep. Also, Fiona can only push against the ground as long as her hips aren’t constrained by a throat. Once she's deeper than that, her thighs have to point parallel to Emma's esophagus, and then she can't give herself leverage against the floor. I was trying to imply Fiona was up against that barrier now, where if she pushed any more her legs would have to go up. She was asking Emma if she'd be able to pull her in by her ass/thighs, but those are probably too meaty to get a solid grip.

Emma might be able to overcome this if she could sit up so that gravity is working with her, but her center of mass is too far above her hips at that point to do a situp without something to anchor her legs.

I agree that it makes sense to imply a set of social norms for vore in any setting where it's supposed to be prevalent, even if they are actually nonsense under closer scrutiny.

That said, I wanna clarify that the only comics of mine that are explicitly in the same setting are Roomies and Family Reunion. Every comic takes place in its own self-contained universe that follows its own set of rules unless stated otherwise, just because I don't want to constrain myself. For example, oral vore digestion takes all night in Roomies, about an hour in Movie Night, and the length of an orgasm in Health Class. Internal prey are inaudible from the outside in (Un)Birth Control but they can have full conversations here. Here, "pred" and "prey" seem to be socially-understood titles that people give themselves, while it seems like everyone in Roomies could go either way on a whim, and vore seems to be nonexistent among humans in Cultural Sensitivity. I use whatever set of rules will serve the story.

There seems to be some expectation not to do it in public, as seen in Health Class and Movie Night, so it's not just seen as grabbing a quick meal. It's two friends making overwrought dumbass expressions on purpose to go with their purposefully overwrought dumbass conversation.

On the other hand, the fact that you brought it up means that I did a poor job conveying why they were making dumb faces at one another. It's hard to convey sarcastic dialog via text and I'm loathe to uSe aLtErNaTiNg cApItAlS for it. Maybe I'll come up with another way.
