Heyaya, Lovely people.
It's a sad news though.
I was having issues with my country's conscription system and it's randomness,
As I couldn't tell when I will be serving the military.
I was looking for a way to substitute or make it shorter/better in a legal way,
As I've been delaying my service date so far.
But it didn't work.
I think I will get into the military around since February, 2020
And serve for around 2 years since then.
Due to the condition of the military here, I may not be able to access the community properly for the entire period of time.
As I'm not allowed to leave the base, and the access of my smart phone will be limited but for only couple hours a day.
(Beside not having a private space in there)
I usually don't beg you guys,
Even when I had multiple financial issues or whatever that is,
But this time, I really need you guys to wish me some luck.
As you guys could tell by the fact that I've never talked about my nationality. (Which probably I won't ever)
My country has some issues around.
And the military is unfortunately the concentration of all the bad examples.
Hopefully I let the time pass safely with myself intact,
And come back here after.

That's honestly somethign terrible to hear. And, don't want to sound rude, not for the lack of uploads or anything, but, the total lack of freedom and overwhelming sensation of not being able to choose your own destiny. It's something I wouldn't even be able to understand, but probably because Italy works differently. Wars? Throwing pizzas at each other. Jokes aside, to get a smile on your face, I really wish you luck, and stay strong, hoping that thing will go well :)

Two years of compulsory military service for males is widespread. Countries of every continent on Earth (except Australia) require this of their young men. It's unfortunate, but many cultures still view men as expendable, and many countries are still more than happy to try killing as many men from other countries as possible.
If humans actually used that squishy mass between their ears for once, we might not have this issue.

If I remember correctly, in Switzerland, all males above the age 18 become soldiers for life, but are in a reserve. The Swiss however, don't really fight though.

I totally don't know anything about conscription. All I know is that I'm exempt from it b/c I'm a combat liability (autism). I'd only learned of about 3 places that had a mandatory conscription, and all 3 were Southeast Asian countries. So my brilliant butt thought that was the answer. Woooosh~...

I think that's true for almost every country. And I say that as someone who has served (albeit willingly) in my country's military.
Do what you need to do, keep your head down, and come back safely.

I did 13 years, granted it was my choice. But if I got through it, I know you will breeze through those 2 years... You're very creative, a driving force to critical thinking and problem solving.

Probably the only thing that's different from regular military is that,
Military here doesn't really pay much.
I will be poor after serving it. Because that's how all the other become right after the military service here.

You don't essentially get rich serving anywhere...
I would recommend saving what you can, I didn't do that and I know I'd be a little better financially now if I had.
Continue to hone/maintain your drawing, so when you come back to us, it'll be like you never left us TT^TT, Oh gosh, you made me cry again XD

Coming from a place in which military service isn't required, but have served myself...
I wish we did have some sort of mandatory obligation to serve a year or at least a few months of training. I have found that it gives people a sense of discipline while also reducing the stupidity of the average person.

I think it really depends on each countries.
If the military is legit, I would say it would be a good experience.
Well, if at least they pay you minimum wage, if that's the case.
Because they don't, here.

Man if my country had conscription I would have moved away asap we all knew this was coming sooner or later it sucks but we hope you return safely. Conscription is so stupid forcing people to serve/fight this is not the medieval age.

Not just because of the conscription, but the country has general issues on everywhere. (A little more than some of the known countries)
Though I won't call it just medieval.
It's only medieval when they say "You don't have to be paid, because we feed you."
Because unfortunately that's how it works here.

As others have said, you will be missed. But keep your head down and listen to orders and hopefully you'll make it through the two years easily and quickly. Follow orders to the best of your ability and if you can keep your head on a swivel so that you can find the small details others may miss.

I'm going to take a guess you're either Israeli, or Cuban.
I have a friend who's Israeli, and went through his time in the IDF. He managed to get himself an office job due to not being much of a fighter, so depending on your skills, you can try and get yourself a non-combat role.
It may also be possible to serve a civilian role, such as in the police, rather than the military, it may be worth looking into that if that appeals to you.
However it goes, and even if you do end up carrying a rifle and a helmet, try to see it as an opportunity to enrich your life experience. There will be anxiety, but that will pass, you'll make new friends, and eventually settle in to it.
You'll be fine, and you'll think back to your service decades from now, perhaps even with some fondness.
Keep us updated with how things are going when you can, we're all rooting for you.

Me, however, having practically no disability on any part of my body, would likely serve is as regular soldier.
They don't really care for what I'm good at.

Disabled, or not a citizen anymore etc.
I tried to move out and give up my citizenship.
Which didn't work well, as international moving is quite tricky to do. (Specially when your country is rather isolated)

I joined the military, but our military is all volunteer. Yeah the first few months of training was pretty restrictive, but I know it's not the same for every country. All I can say is good luck, keep your head down, and try to learn what you can. You can learn a lot of skills just try not to lose the core of who you are. I'm certainly a different person than I was when I joined, but I think I'm still effectively 'me'
