It varies! I do make her micro with quite a bit of frequency; usually she stands around 5 inches tall, but there isn't a super concrete number I always use, and my favorite range is pretty much anywhere between 1 and 8 inches. :>

They're probably made of aluminum or something. If they were made of anything too heavy, they'd probably rip her ears off. xD The earrings have been a trademark of Ceru ever since I created her, actually. So even if they were too heavy I wouldn't get rid of them.

Emotions are probably one of the most major driving forces in all of my art, be it visual or written. To have a medium through which I can pour my feelings out is the main reason I am an artist to begin with... so I put what I worry might be too much emphasis on them at times.

Comments like yours, though, make me feel like perhaps my extensive focus on emotions isn't remotely a bad thing-- so thank you for that. Writing stories like this, that are this emotionally charged, is always a joy for me, and it makes me feel proud when people praise that aspect because it means I can write what I love and still have other people love it, too. <3

The reason parts like that were so detailed is, well, because I probably like them as much as you do. That, and I just like to type really gratuitous and unnecessary amounts of detail, but still. I'm glad you appreciate those parts because they were honestly some of my favorite parts to write out of the whole thing. ;v;

I think it has something with the way the eyes look half circle shaped. It doesn't really give the menacing look.

Since you also see him from slightly above, he looks a bit smaller than usual.

Nah, he doesn't, I'd actually agree with you on that; I've had people tell me he actually looks kind of cute in this image. Probably because of the expression or something like that. I don't know how well my style lends itself to drawing Thresh looking super-menacing to begin with. x'D I suppose I don't really mind it, though.

your soft-shading does look absolutely amazing. I just wanted to say that this didn't look bad either.

and i agree, some things are a ton easier to cel-shade than others. ;v; like, IMO, Myoga was 2hard for celshading and so I quit.

But you also make hella smooth lines, so it looks realllly good when you do it IMO.

I can be okay at cel-shading sometimes, but it depends WHAT I'm shading... some things are just an incredible pain in the ass, and I've found that my soft shading technique these days looks a whole lot nicer overall. I'm glad you think it looks good, though! Maybe I'll give it another shot sometime.

Cool, I've got a character that can absorb the traits of others, so I'll have her nom one in my series sometimes so she can get a nice tail like that. She's already got a neko tail, so taking a scorpion one shouldn't be too hard.

Yeah, I think I probably will go with Abyssal Lagiacrus... I've fought a good 25 of them, and he is indeed the most badass thing in the water, and one of the hardest fights. 0_0 Knowing me, half the story will probably be crazyass action before the vore part comes along. XD

Yeah, I'll absolutely buy MH4 if they get it to us. :3 Goa Magara looks so wicked...

My vote would be for Abyssal Lagiacrus... I'd be all over a story like that. All versions of Lagiacrus are one of my favorite monsters, but that one in particular is basically the most badass thing ever. @@; I shat bricks when I first saw the picture, though I haven't gotten to fight it yet... I'd read pretty much any Monster Hunter story, though, so I'll be on the lookout for if you do write one!

And I will 100% be getting MH4 when (if?) it comes here, no questions about that. It'd be awesome to have somebody else to hunt with. <3

Nibelsnarf would be appropriate for vore, but... the name... it's just... hehehehe... aw gee, but maybe I can actually use that... have the hunter think it's just a cute little monster that's easy for beginners...

I dunno. XD Anyway, yeah it's a real bummer about the 3DS version not supporting online... :( If MH4 gets localized though, and I really hope it does, we might be able to hunt together then. I understand it has online capabilities.

I'm personally not a fan of that scene, hence why I didn't go for that one; it's mostly because I actually really liked Rip. :< But I do know that a lot of M/F fans really adored it.

And yes, you're absolutely right about the scene in question! It was probably one of my favorite moments... mostly because of that drool, dear god. It really did not help my fangirlish fantasies about Maxwell. >__>;

I'm glad I didn't watch the anime, if that's all it had to offer. I did hear that the OVA was better, so that was what I decided to check out, and I think I made the right choice. It would have been really disappointing to see the characters portrayed like that; it makes me sad to think about strong characters being written as weaklings. And no Pip is absolutely unforgivable B(

Oooh, I know what scene you're talking about! It's the one where he's resting and just getting ready to exterminate all the Protestants in London, right? xD I like to think Integra escaped, if only because the woman has a heart of steal and WOULD find a way.

No problem, I enjoying chatting too! I don't find many Hellsing fans to talk to, so it's nice! :)

By the way, the manga is literally frame for frame identical to the OVA, so you're not missing much. There is a three chapter side-manga that Hirano wrote about Iscariot where Maxwell was a woman, but that's it. xD

As for the TV series...it's okay. It's got great music and entertaining, but veers off too much from the manga and changes the characters personalities, and not exactly for the better. Integra goes from being a strong, unwavering woman to a complete miserable bitch, Father Anderson and Maxwell are jokes, while Seras is weak till the very end and never happy. Oh, and no Pip or Millennium. ><

There really are quite a few characters in this particular show that suit the predatory role pretty well, in my opinion. It is kind of funny that I decided to do something with Maxwell of all people-- since he's one of the only characters that doesn't actually engage in badass battles with anyone. And yet he's the one I ended up swooning over the most... I make no sense sometimes. I can't lie, though-- the "kill all heathens" attitude has always come across to me as really damn hot. B|

The relaxed pose was actually based off of one of the scenes in the OVA (for the record, I haven't seen the series or read the manga, no) where Maxwell was reclining similarly to this; it was in a chair, but hey, close enough. I tend to be morbid and awful in how my chosen scenarios end, but I'd rather not specify an ending; she could very well escape, if that's what you prefer. I can't deny that Integra would put up a good fight if the circumstances demanded it. :>

At any rate, thank you for your kind remarks. I don't mind the long comment at all... I really enjoy chatting about the fandoms and characters that are close to my heart.

Got to agree with you there about the guys from the show making good preds (especially Alucard. Hot damn!), but I never thought I'd see Enrico "Kill all heathens" Maxwell as one.

He looks real relaxed despite the fact that he ate Integara Fairbrooks Wingates Hellsing. And she looks mighty pissed. I'd like to think that she'll find a way to escape or Alucard will save her. ^^

Though, knowing Alucard, he'll run into Father Anderson and be too preoccupied with fighting him instead. xD

I do not always admit it at first, As I am a guy. But really its not just my being bi that causes me to enjoy the prospect of being at the mercy of the digestive system of a good looking guy. But also I find most art depicting giant guys is done with more class than that of Giantess art.(not that I do not enjoy the big ladies as well.) Playing a male character and enjoying male preds does limit RP opportunity though.

As far as the story behind the picture is concerned, her expression is most likely one of anxiety and fear. Though it would be pretty hilarious if she was a member of the endless hordes of Zuko fangirls and -that's- why he has that disturbed look on his face... pfff.

And I never kept any of my art, except a few pieces. I never did digital art, so I wouldn't be able to post any of my old art. So it looks like I suck. Lol. But my art is slowly improving as I find ways to draw with either my left hand or my damaged hand.

I think that's one of my favorite things about the picture. I wanted to draw attention to that smile and the demonic air it gives off rather than leaving the shadow entirely 'realistic' so to speak; if I done that, I don't think this picture would come across quite the same way. The predator probably wouldn't have quite the same looming presence. ... Not to mention that for those of us here on this site, the focus on his grin may very well imply what's about to happen next. >>;

I'm so, so happy you think so, really I am. <3 Both that I captured the movement and the emotion... those are the sorts of things I'm starting to strive towards above all else. I just hope I can continue to be this successful in later works, and that this wasn't just a fluke.

one of my favorite vore stories, i actually stay away from graphic digestion, blood, death, and the darker side of vore but this was a masterpiece. the picture painted by this story is melancholy and intriguing. by the end she was so resigned to her fate she was happy that if she had to die at least she was providing nutrients for the predator. gave me chills 5/5 stars

Aaaa, thank you ;; It's something I suppose I pride myself on a little, but it takes an awfully long time to get lines of that quality, so it's not as though I can just whip them out at the drop of a hat. I like to think it's worth my while, though. :>

I think what I meant is that there's even more ridiculous little details about him that I haven't included on his profile page that I've thought up. I'd love to ramble on about them for all eternity, but I don't get the impression that everybody would want to listen. I'm glad the page is informative enough by itself though.~

In terms of the details, I'd definitely say that the fins (including his tail) take more time to draw than any other part of the character, but I don't really want to simplify them 'cause I like the way they look, even if it might save me a lot of time. .. And if other people like you feel the same way, that just gives me that much more reason to continue drawing all the intricate parts. :>

That would require me learning how to properly do digital coloring. Which... is feasible, but hasn't been going super well. I screwed up with the layers on this one, at any rate; I wanted to at least flat color it but couldn't as a result.

I'd like to draw him glowing too, though. I'm sure that the character will give off a very different vibe when he's properly shaded... much more ominous and threatening. Which is definitely what I want to go for, so I hope I can get off my lazy ass and do it at some point.

And... heh, well I hope you're right about the being attached thing. It has happened to me in the past, admittedly, but I don't know if it was quite to this extent. It was a little awkward during those past occasions too, admittedly.

I don't think you're TOO attached! It's awesome that you can get in to your characters this much in my opinion, and I find it fun to talk about things like this.

One thing relating to the fins vs. spines. I kind of imagine the "human" portion of his body to kind of be like the only exposed portion of that "layer" of him, which is covered up by the red layer for the whole long tail portion. With that being the reason that only the spines are shown, because the fins and such are only part of the outer layer. (I hope I explained that understandably enough)

I don't think that was what necessarily what you intended at all, but it's still a kind of neat way to look at that I think.

His eyes are bright enough that they kind of have the air of glowing in and of themselves, but they don't actually produce light. When one sees his face from behind the light of his lure, however, his eyes (and possibly his damn teeth) are probably the first thing that would draw their attention. They're a little hard to miss. Amusingly, all things considered, his eyesight is probably pretty terrible despite how sharp and brilliant his eyes are... at least, I'm positive it's bad in well-lit areas. Maybe not so terrible in the dark.~

I didn't actually think about how the spines could make a viewer think about the rest of his fins, but I mean... they are built the exact same way, just without fins connecting them together and with a slightly different color to them because they're attached to the 'human' part of his body, if you could call it that considering his weird skin tone and stuff.

Heh, I get an odd kick out of discussing this character even in terms of design. I'm really a bit too attached to him for my own good. :<

Actually I sort of assumed they were luminescent when I said that, part of why I made the positive comment about the color choice fitting with the environment in the first place, and yeah I definitely think that's a neat idea itself.

Also do his eyes glow too? They're probably the sliver of color that stands out the most on the whole thing.

I never really thought about the possibility of the pink seeming girly at all, partially since it's a more off-shade of it as you said. Especially since I think in nature, in the ocean, any connotations the color might have would be irrelevant. I thought of it as a lighter version of the red everywhere else as you intended.

Also I definitely prefer the idea spines along his back here being separate like they are as opposed to another fin, so I'm glad you chose to go that route. Certainly makes him more intimidating, and just cool looking. It also kind of makes me think about how his normal fins themselves might actually be structured and how they'd connect to him.

The bright spots are actually bio-luminescent patches; it's just tough to tell 'cause I haven't done any lighting on him. They're in lines along his body on either side, he has three on each cheek, and of course the lure on his head also glows. I'm somewhat surprised that no one has made a remark about him having pink fins, but then again I don't find them to be a particularly "girly" shade; they were meant more to be a variant on his generally red coloration than anything.

I originally considered having the spines along his back as another fin, but decided it looked more intimidating as it was-- and he's certainly meant to be intimidating (even if he's hot at the same time, eheh), so I kept 'em the way they were. And as for the shading... I'll get around to it. It's going slowly.

I wasn't actually sure if you'd like this guy or not, now that I think about it... so it's kind of awesome that you do! Heheh.~
