I really liked this story and I think your pred was great. Having her use some sort of drugs to shrink her prey is great (as opposed to some sort of magic), I think that's how I would have done it =X ^^

Indeed, this one is too wonderful not to post!!

The really beautiful thing about Samantha is that she knows so intimately well the interplay between a pred and prey, and being able to internalize both of them perfectly.

I love the way you infuse so much of the right emotions into your narratives, for example:

"There was a smell inside the mask - maybe a scent left by the previous wearer. Excitement. Lust. Fear."

You're able mentally and emotionally absorb (heh, pun intended) the reader into the story and psyches of both characters. Reading erotica is one thing, but being emotionally spun into the play makes for a heady and intoxicating experience!!

The taking of pred suits or costumes to another level (almost living, almost transformational) reminds me a lot of the Many Deaths of Samish series, which till date I wish there was much more continuation from the Savannah/Claire story.

Damn, I really do miss your contributions!

Don't get me wrong it was an awesome story and a fun idea, having a prey animal dress up as a pred and become so into it they gobble someone up. There ought to be more such stories using this idea.

Really, the only bit I didn't quite like was when Sam pulled a Mike Tyson on Tim's ear. Even though I got a chuckle out of it. XD

Have you had any exploration of a somewhat opposite social dynamic? Like if a more civilized rabbit happened to be her boss, and the curious interactions thereat? The kind of conversations they might have? The social dogma insisting that she be respectful and obedient while both parties are all too knowing that she very much could, and would, devour him on the spot? Friends? Bitter rivals with the possibility laced through every more civilized interaction?

I love her tights. Non blood red "red" ^^ And this position is definitely compromising and allows a lot of little things on your part as the artist. Reptile, human, different coloration patterns/natures (not sure the word here, sorry), her head going into the maw *for once I'm loving the oral shot* and that hair over the eye <3 That dress is kick-ass too. But the latex suit on a reptile? People must go specially to you for those with how much you seem to like doing them ^^

Yup, it definitely is. I fiddled around with it for awhile to fix, but since it was pencils it just made it worse and I ended up going back to the original version. If I redraw her, I'll be able to fix that then. Sometimes the first time I draw something I just have to get the kinks out.

Practicality is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. She'd rather wear nothing. People make a fuss if certain bodyparts aren't covered. so poking a head-hole in the middle of an old blanket scrap seemed to do the trick.

Insects, for the most part, have the assumption that their life will be short and will likely end brutally. Since they don't feel pain, their fear is based around dying 'before their time' - living an incomplete life, which generally means mating. A drone's purpose is to serve as their queen's envoy, so once they've made it to the other queen's colony, to some degree they've achieved that goal.

Ideally, the drones see themselves as not even persons - they are the words and thoughts of their queen made flesh - a living message. Accepting their deaths with grace is what they're supposed to do - after all, they're not really people. In reality, though - yes, they're afraid, and many times they try to hide or flee. But the queens enjoy that extra bit of humiliation, and might even pass on the tales of how poorly a queen's son portrayed her virtues.

So the Queen's life will revolve around the hive, because in a sense she is the hive. Which means she wouldn't be as self-indulgent as human queens can be, correct?
Do Drones generally accept their deaths via tantrums with grace, or with the same fear other creatures would feel in their situation?

Thanks! I've been watching her comics on DeviantArt for awhile, actually. She's such a fantastic artist. I'm thinking in this case, fashion sense may go across the board from Regency to dieselpunk depending on the peculiarities of the setting - there's a lot of room both for mingling and for enclaves.

Ants are the best. They're so cool, so weird, and so ruthless. I think I'll be drawing them if not next, then very soon.

Thanks - I appreciate the comment. I hadn't even thought of the moth as a bad guy - more like a Dapper Dan - but I like it! I like the idea of ladybugs being all innocent, too, especially as they're innocently munching on aphids during tea.

I was thinking of looking up the common bugs in my neck of the woods, and building a kind of population (sort of like the random population builders for fantasy towns) and just seeing what kinds of dynamics that would produce. :)
