I actually intended this series to a be a -little- confrontational, in that I wanted an opportunity to present Alexis as a bit more disturbing and frightening than she comes off sometimes. Familiarity breeds contempt, or at least it breeds kawaii, and I wanted to give a person-eating alligator a bit more spotlight as a dangerous creature whose moral outlook could be considered horrifying to some. I'm not sure how successful that was, or how good of an idea it is to intentionally look for an opportunity to slap the hand of someone who just wants to say "I like what you do." But, oh well. Everything is a learning experience. :)

Thank you dearly for this project.

It is a difficult and daunting task to discount the enormity of work that the series must have required, but discounting all that, one admirable aspect of this exquisite epistolary carnival is your stern adherence to the principles of biographical and thematic consistency as pertains to Madam Alexis, but only resorting to confidently casual statement of facts to meet the audience's errant impressions - never anything more sinister. It isn't that you could ever be pegged as the confrontational sort, but exposing a prime character to vox populi like that could try even the patience of the saints(the non-violent ones).

Alexis is a truly intimidating person, in all aspects of her voluptuous existence.

A solemn bow of recognition to the feat of bringing her into that existence with such a splash.

Once again, I have to say...wow. This is actually good. A look at vore but from a RL point of view from someone truly discovering his fetish. The emotions coveyed are deep and feel genuine, this feels like something that actually HAPPENED, and Kalvin like a REAL PERSON with needs we can understand and, yes, SYMPATHIZE with.

It's a convention I use in this setting. A-class creatures are small - from mouse-size to small house-cat size. B-class are mid-sized, large house-cat to small deer. C-class are larger. So the animals reference their original source species' sizes, but still interact in a society made to accommodate everyone.

Yep, she'll eat plants, and other things. Some things stay down, some don't. Not everything will sate her hunger.

Waste hasn't really ever been a big part of my stories unless they were commissions or gifts for people into it, so I don't really worldbuild that aspect.

It's been awhile for this story, but my very vague recollection were that things that reached the stomach alive tended to sate her appetite better.

My memory is also that giants were mostly just trained by one army, but that doesn't mean others might not steer a rogue giant in a favorable direction.

Does Ara eat anything besides people by default, not in the sense of cows and other farm animals, as the story states they'll eat them as payment when offered.

How about plants?

Does Ara expel what she eats?

For that matter do they ever chew or just gulp them down as fast as possible?

And do giants fight each other if their in opposing armies? Can they be killed at all?

I'm not sure what you mean by three inches being a world record, but I've seen people put much, much larger things in their mouth - and swallow them - then I think I ever could. My mouth is pretty normal.

A hot dog is just soft enough that if a tiny human body was going to show trauma (broken ribs, bruising, etc.) you'd likely see some damage to the hot dog as well. We don't really have any good examples of shrunken humans to ask how it feels, but as a crude example, deep throating often is accompanied by swallowing on the cock, and it's not really particularly forceful or unpleasant - it's sort of like lips closing, and maybe at the most lips pinching.

Sort of. Ara feels like she needs to eat to survive - her body tells her that, just like ours do. But if she doesn't eat, she won't die, just keep getting hungrier.

And, yes. I imagine it's a lot like training a dragon! :)

First off let me know if I should slow down replying.
Is 3 inch like some kind of world record out of curiosity?

Well I got the idea from For Hire by Happiest in Shadows, first and really only story I've read that has it. Shortish version- giantess increasing her growth rate by digesting beings with magical potential, people in other words, and at first is only big enough to eat them by biting off limbs first. Later in the story she gets big enough to swallow them whole, but their crushed by her superstrong throat muscles, which keeps her from absorbing their life force since they die before digestion. Cue contest between her and another giantess to see who grows big enough first to swallow someone alive.

Where did the Hot Dog example come from? Otherwise just because a human body arrives in the stomach intact (not squished to a pancake) doesn't mean the muscles didn't squeeze hard enough to suffocate them.

Yeah breathings another thing most stories seem to think about.

So Ara and her fellow giants don't NEED to eat in manner of doing so to keep on living like normal creatures do? They NEED to eat like an urge or addition?

Training these giants must be BIG task. Considering what happened here with a friendly giant, surrounding troops are as liable to be eaten by their allied giant as an enemy if they so unavoidable fear on the battlefield.

What you want to do is figure out what size you think you could fit in your own mouth and swallow. hold it up and look at it. A lego man? Your own finger? A baby carrot? Measure that, and compare to your own height, and that's ratio you'll work with. I can fit something solid that's about 3 inches long into my mouth, but people are flexible and can scrunch. I couldn't SWALLOW something three inches long, but I know it's possible with practice.

Throat muscles generally won't crush anything to death. I'm not sure where that idea came from, but I've seen it on Eka's before. They can get a good pushed down your throat, but if you swallowed a hot dog, when it was whole, it would still be whole when it got to your stomach.

On the other hand, dying of asphyxia or shock before getting to the stomach is a possibility. And the atmosphere inside a stomach is not very breathable. A person would be lucky to survive more than 10 minutes just because of the gas-content inside a stomach. It's no very close to the atmospheric mix - it has much lower levels of O2 and much higher levels of CO2 because the stomach wall works just like your lungs do.

Ara needs to eat like you need to scratch when you're covered in mosquito bites. You can resist for awhile, but the need builds and builds. Imagine it like that, but with the intensity of needing to breathe.

Giants in the military are trained, just like soldiers are.

This is officially one of my absolute favorite giantess/vore stories to date!

The pacing is perfect, the 1960-ish setting is unusual but in a good way and the characters feel real and are likeable. Autumn is a really lovable character and Dinah adds both drama and spice.

I really like how you incorporate the vore into the story. It comes naturally and the act of eating isn't overly described and elaborate on (which many times ruins the pacing).

Like French_snack wrote above the "munchkins" are similar to Murkats "Delights". You've made these, however, more industrial, more part of your every day groceries, than his rare and exquisite treat, cultivated illegally and secretively. If anything, the "munchkins" remind me more of the clones in Ladyprey's story "The Clone" (illustrated by Karbo) in which tiny "clones" are bought by woman, taken home and eaten. One of which the main protagonist falls in love with, yet still eats at the end (because he will expire anyway).

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this story. I've already read it twice and will probably do so again. Very well done, good Sir!

Admittedly, most of my stories are pretty depressing for fans of willing prey or kind predators. A lot of times I'm trying to capture a an unusual angle on the relationship between pred and prey that really isn't tenable without some back-of-curtain insidiousness. Especially with both this story and Anxiety, it was important that the pred eat sapient (or mostly sapient prey) regularly - that it was completely normalized - but that the pred could still be 'nice', not a monster. I pushed Autumn back into something vaguely like the 1950's because it let me pretend she'd be less aware of social consciousness movements - or at least made it so I didn't have to deal with a society that hadn't had them.

I am a firm believer in the fact that the morality of our society is far from perfect, and dealing with topics like this - what is right and wrong, and what is just a matter of being normalized - helps draw that out where it can be investigated. That was the purpose to In Real Life to some degree as well. I hope it doesn't sound like I think I have all the answers as I write stories like this; I kind of write them to try to figure out the answers myself. But this -was- kind of an uncommon opportunity to write the entire story from the predator's perspective and make her empathetic. I'm glad some people have enjoyed that and have bought into the conceit of munchkins.

And I -have- ready Mukat's story and enjoyed it very much. That could very well have influenced this one to some degree, though it wasn't intentional.

Ah, why do I risk depressing myself by reading your stories? :) This is beautiful. One of your best - among your most engaging and most moving. The moment where Lincoln cries and says he's lonely...

The irony is, of course, he could have lived out his life quite happily and contentedly in his artificial environment, if he had never been removed and confronted to the truth. The conclusion that Autumn seems to draw from all this is interesting: that she shouldn't put "over-ripe" munchkins in that kind of situation again, but that there's nothing wrong with eating them early enough to deny them the possibility to evolve as he did. The possibility to become people (as she sees it).

And then the fact that she can't ever know what exactly he was thinking or feeling at the end, and nor would she want to. And we find ourselves in the same position at her: we don't have Lincoln's perspective at the end, and in a sense that's a relief.

The whole concept of the munchkins is fascinating. Have you ever read Mukat's story "A lady's delights"?. You and he have both hit upon an idea that I'd never thought of: "semi-conscious" tiny humanoids. Creatures that are capable of feelings, but who are not fully self-aware. (In Mukat's case, they're originally humans, whose consciousness has effectively been bred out of them.) He has a scene slightly similar to your scene where Dinah first enters the room and Autumn is worried that she might scare them: in Mukat's story, the woman who tends to the "delights" lets her employer see them in their cages, and the little beings are wary of her, whereas they naturally trust the "big woman" whom they see every day.

Anyway... Definitely a memorable story!

i think they have a could of monster for that like the alpi or some name like that. but a lot of them are for fetishes that are rare. if you find yourself there you'd better trying and find a girl to fit you needs cause if one you don't like gets you you're stuck with her

Awwww, and the humans never knew all those disappearances through the years were time warps, taking delicacies back to the dino's that loved us so.

It wasn't a comet that drove dino's to extinction, it was the breaking of their time machine and losing access to their human supplemental food supply *chuckles*

<grin> My pleasure! It was an interesting challenge. I can never seem to get mantis types to come out a way I'm happy with it, but the way the arms were switched around to put the scythe-type arms in the middle seemed to help a lot!

That's what I started to do, but it just cluttered up the drawing, so I ended up erasing them. Even if I like succubi with wings, the composition works better this way, I think.

Hehe, I would possibly go to someone else for such an image as I know people who are surprisingly up to the challenge.

Though I am interested in commissioning you for something of this nature. If you are open, that's all good, I just have to wait for the owner of the intended prey character to be come online for consent and input.
